I work with clients trying to cope with anxiety and stress, trauma, depression, interpersonal challenges, and various performance pressures. They seek a comfortable space where they can unpack and sort racing feelings and ideas, where they know that they will have someone who listens to them. In addition, some of my clients seek to learn specific skills, such as how to calm themselves when feeling agitated, how to improve their sleep, how to regain their motivation, or how to communicate more effectively with others.

I am uniquely qualified to assist anyone with PTSD symptoms or traumatic experiences. I provide counseling to military personnel, first responders and others that have suffered a trauma and offer a place of trust & mutual respect in which to talk. I also specialize in clients dealing with sexual addiction. I am a former police officer forced to retire after 21 years when an on-the-job injury made it impossible for me to continue working. Before retiring, I joined the Critical Incident Stress Management Team where I've continued to counsel first responders for nearly 20 years now. I am also a qualified supervisor in the State of FL.

Life changes are difficult. We all go through things in life that are overwhelming. Some people seeking help are struggling with the loss of a loved one. At the same time, others are dealing with changes in family dynamics and family stressors. My goal is to help address these emotions and experiences. I work with a variety of mental health and emotional issues, including anxiety, anger, depression, relationship transitions, separation/divorce, new marriage, new parents/ step-parents, loss of family member or friend, family of military and active-duty members, and deployment transitions.

Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I have a passion for helping people. I became a therapist to help and encourage people. I have a wide variety of experience. I worked in community health for several years. During that time, I saw a multitude up clients with a variety of issues to include but not limited to addiction, depression, bi - polar disorder, and many others. I provided care inpatient and outpatient and ran many different types of groups for adults and children. I worked with children and families on our juvenile unit as well.
