*Now scheduling new patients* Our mental health and physical health can be impacted by life’s stressors or competing priorities. Increased stress can lead to depression , anxiety, emotional eating, out-of-control eating and other problematic behaviors. Stress can impact sleep and chronic health conditions that you may be managing, and can lead to you feeling like you’ve lost touch of your values and leaving you feeling stuck in a pattern of failure. I am here to help you regain balance with your mental and physical health and reestablish your priorities. Reconnecting with your values will lead to long lasting change.

Within my practice I incorporate interpersonal process, strength-based, and person-centered approaches to accommodate each client’s specific needs - bringing experience and specializations in working with adjustment, anger, anxiety, conflict resolution, depression , trauma, mood disorders, and stress management.
It is exceedingly courageous to acknowledge the pain you carry and take the first step towards healing. Seeking out help presents daunting searches that require a sense of vulnerability and I hope to bring support through each of these steps. My primary goal is to provide a safe space for each individual - as this is the most important element of the therapeutic process - and from that foundation work collaboratively with you to build into your sense of agency, autonomy, and innate resilience as a human being.

This work is powerful for couples and individuals dealing with high stress, high conflict, infidelity, parenting, infertility, loss and all the emotional symptoms that come from these experiences such as depression , anxiety and loss of self.
My approach is to view problems or issues from a systemic perspective. That means I am curious about our key relationships past and present, the roles we play, the rules we follow, and where our identity and value systems come from. My passion is to make sense of the ways our internal experiences (relationship with self) and our external experiences (relationships with others) collide and inform one another. I strive to help people develop wholeness of self through unpacking anything that is keeping them stuck.

Using CBT/SFBT as well as client centered therapy will enable me to explore the barriers that are at the core of an individual's thoughts that cause anxiety or depression .
In a busy, hectic, fast-paced world, we sometimes find ourselves overwhelmed and needing somewhere safe and calm to breathe. Therapy can be a space where someone finds the time to relieve the stress of work, family/relationships and other psychosocial issues related to life in today's world. By addressing these needs, the person can become whole again and live the satisfying life they want. For consultation or to schedule an appointment, I can be reached at 614-354-7006.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
