I enjoy working with clients who may be struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, emotional management, poor self-esteem, experiencing grief and loss; who are motivated and open to change and doing homework, and who desire to be a healthier version of themselves.

It was my dream to become a therapist and my passion for helping others has grown stronger with time. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with stress and anxiety, depression, anger, relationship concerns, trauma, panic, and PTSD. I use a variety of methods to help my clients dissect and understand each aspect of their mental health and to help them move forward. I am trained in and can use EMDR as an intervention should you need more help overcoming your history.

Lauren Barber is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio who has been practicing since 2020. She has a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Bachelors in Psychology, and an Associates in Communication. Lauren specializes in helping clients unlock their inner confidence to assist in treating substance use disorders, unresolved trauma, anxiety/depression, and other stressors. Outside of work, Lauren loves spending time with her family outdoors.

My client's goal will be to build a foundation of good mental health that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives and use to improve their own lives as well as their family and friends. My ideal client comes to therapy because they want to be there and value what they can learn from their therapist and themselves.
