Every interaction in our lives creates our story. These stories can come from family experiences, media, marginalization, oppression, trauma, and much more. Over time, a collection of these may cause us to fall into depression, anxiety, trauma symptoms, out of control sexual behavior, or other mental health issues. In therapy, my goal is to provide a warm, genuine, and collaborative environment to understand the development of these stories and how we can change them.

Taking a step to do something for your self is the right thing to do. Start slow and easy if that helps, see how it goes, or jump right in. Either way - we are here for you and can help.

I work with clients with anxiety, substance use disorders, trauma, grief, depression, stress, and life transitions.

Hi, I’m Danya. I believe that everyone has the potential to transform their life. If there is something about your life that you wish to change, I will meet you with respect, humility, and clinical expertise. There is no “ideal client” for me, but we will work well together if you are curious, open-minded, and actively engaged in sessions. If you appreciate candid and compassionate communication, we might be a good match. Whatever you are dealing with, I’m here to listen and support. As your counselor, I'll work to provide a nonjudgmental space to safely explore your emotions, thoughts, identities, and experiences together.

Do you live in your head but feel overwhelmed by emotions you can’t explain? You may overthink, disconnect from your body, and carry old wounds beneath the surface. Maybe you’ve pushed through with perfectionism and caregiving, but inside, you're exhausted. Even when from outside things look fine, your soul knows something deeper is calling. I offer a different pathway: Jungian dream work, art therapy, and shadow work that reach beyond words and into the body and unconscious. Art therapy uses breath, movement, and simple creative exercises to gently unlock what’s been trapped inside. You don’t need any artistic talent, I promise.

We're here to HEAL and have FUN! Hi I'm Alex! Traditional therapy isn't cutting it anymore. Sometimes people just need someone to listen - to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can be themselves. When people are struggling with hopelessness and helplessness, they also need someone to walk alongside them as a guide toward the solutions that work for their individualized struggles and goals. I work with a broad range of clientele, but I have extensive experience in working with the following clinical populations: eating disorders, substance abuse, individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, depression, anxiety, and trauma.

I hold a deep interest in the intersection of creativity and mental wellbeing. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing often begins when we are able to express what words cannot fully capture—and that the process of uncovering unconscious material can lead to profound insight, integration, and personal growth. Drawing from psychodynamic theory, I am interested in how early life experiences shape our internal world and influence current relationships and emotional patterns. I aim to help clients explore these deeper layers of their experience, offering a supportive space to process complex emotions and inner conflicts.

If you are an adult who has recently been diagnosed or realized that you are ADHD/Autistic, you have reached a crossroads. Continue down the well-worn path of despair or risk a new path leading to self-acceptance. Traditional talk therapy puts the blame on the Neurodivergent brain and expects it to change the way it works. The truth is that you can't and shouldn't be expected to change your brain! You can learn to harness your natural abilities to reach your goals. As a Neurodivergent therapist I offer you both the training and personal experience to help on your journey to self-acceptance and success.

To parents: The choice to seek support for your teen is a remarkable one. One thing is certain, you want your child to feel safe in their journey toward thriving. My work is grounded with a judgment-free, safe connection that includes not only empowering your teen as they navigate the world of adolescence, but also doing it with the support of the people close to them. To the young people: Beginning therapy can bring on anxiety and make you feel uncertain and vulnerable. Do not overlook the feeling of hope and confidence it can also bring. It is most important you feel like it is a good fit - we'll figure out if it is.

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your sense of self? My approach to mental health is rooted in the belief that true healing happens when we address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. With specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and somatic therapies, I help clients process trauma, reduce anxiety, and break free from patterns that no longer serve them. EMDR can provide transformative relief from painful memories, while somatic work helps deepen the mind-body connection, encouraging the body to release stored tension and emotions.

Bisexual Therapists

What is bisexual-affirming therapy?

Bisexual-affirming therapy is a type of mental health support that fully affirms and reflects a client’s bisexual identity. It is rooted in acceptance and does not attempt to change or question an individual’s orientation. In this type of therapy, clients work with a therapist who understands the unique experiences of bisexual people. This support is especially important, as research shows that bisexual individuals face higher rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation compared to other groups. Bisexual-affirming therapy acknowledges that bisexual individuals may encounter specific stressors—such as invalidation, relationship challenges, and minority stress—that require specialized understanding and intervention. Many therapists also provide couples therapy for bisexual partners, helping them navigate relationship dynamics, communication challenges, or external stressors that may impact their relationship.

While not required, some clients prefer working with bisexual therapists who may bring personal insight to the therapeutic relationship. However, a non-bisexual therapist with strong training and a genuine commitment to affirmation can be equally effective. The most important factor is finding a therapist who understands how identity impacts mental health and can create a space of trust and respect.

What can a bisexual therapist help with?

Bisexual-affirming therapists can provide support across a wide range of concerns relevant to bisexual individuals. Whether through personal or professional experience, they often have specialized knowledge in areas such as the coming out process, navigating stereotypes, and dealing with common stressors. Relationship support is another key area of focus, as bisexual clients may face unique challenge when dating or maintaining relationships across genders. Affirming therapists can also help clients build coping strategies for managing discrimination or stigma.

Additionally, many bisexual-affirming therapists can connect clients to other providers or community-based resources—such as bisexual support groups or LGBTQ+ organizations—that offer additional affirming spaces for connection. It's important to note that therapists provide can talk therapy and counseling services but do not prescribe medication—if medication is needed for conditions like depression or anxiety, they will coordinate care with a psychiatrist or primary care physician who can provide psychiatric medication management alongside therapeutic support.

How do I find a bisexual therapist?

The Psychology Today online directory is a helpful tool for finding bisexual-affirming therapists. You can use search filters to identify therapists who specialize in LGBTQ+ care and work specifically with bisexual clients. You can also filter by clinical specialties, therapeutic approaches, accepted insurance, session costs, and languages spoken to find the right fit.

During initial consultations or early sessions, ask potential therapists about their specific training in bisexual-affirming care, their experience with LGBTQ+ clients, and their therapeutic approach to identity-related concerns. An effective bisexual-affirming therapist will demonstrate genuine understanding of bisexual experiences, including awareness of the unique challenges facing bisexual individuals. You can also look for credentials or continuing education in areas such as LGBTQ+ mental health, trauma-informed care, and intersectionality.
