With combo of these modalities, we work together to heal trauma held in your body, help you develop secure attachment, help your inner child feel safe and loved, and walk you toward the relationship you truly desire.
I help late 20s single women learn to love themselves and manifest their aligned relationship. I know how painful it can be when you deeply desire a romantic relationship but don't have it yet. There can be so much self-doubt, anxiety, and uncertainty. Maybe you keep ending up in the same noncommittal relationships. Maybe you keep ending up with the same kind of unavailable partners who can't generously give you the love and care that you truly deserve. If this is you, please know that there is a way forward. Dating with confidence and creating a healthy relationship is an inside job, so YOU hold the power to change.

I became a therapist because I find true joy in connecting with others. I believe that therapy can be impactful and enriching while still feeling down-to-earth and accessible. As a social worker I value collaboration, cultural humility, and seeing you as the expert of your own experience. My style is warm and relaxed, but I will also work diligently with you to develop the tools you need to meet your self-defined goals. My focus areas include depression and anxiety, perinatal mental health, interpersonal and complex trauma , bipolar disorder, life transitions, and emerging young adults.

EMDR is a structured therapy that supports and assist in encouraging a brief focus on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which associates with a reduction in the vividness and emotional impact associated with the trauma memories, resulting in desensitization and a shift is self-perspective.
The gift of therapy is an opportunity to feel different. Maybe to gain a felt sense of joy, peace and contentment. What does that mean? Many may have tried “talk therapy” alone. Although “talking” through life experiences can be helpful, it is often discovered that there is a felt sense to the issues that words cannot get through alone. Often resulting in not feeling better. The basis of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is that along with talk therapy it incorporates identifying where the feeling is physically located and more importantly, somatically felt. How the body is responding to the actual memory.

As a certified EMDR therapist, I have specialized training in trauma .
There is a time to carry on, but there is a time to find a different way. You are tired of simply going through the motions of life. You find it hard to shake those feelings of worry and sadness. You feel overwhelmed by change and all the decisions in front of you. Your relationships feel hard and complicated. You provide so much for others at work and home that you don’t have anything left for yourself. I am a compassionate therapist who offers a warm and supportive space. I believe that personal growth is possible for everyone and that therapy is an effective strategy in that process.

Let's talk about grief, and loss! Have you had a major loss, a love one died, a relationship ended, loss a job/career, loss of trust, or good health? Have you experienced a traumatic event either for yourself or witnessed trauma to someone else? The Grief Recovery Method is an educational intervention that provides both group and one-on-one support to address losses of all kinds and especially includes the death of a loved one. The Grief Recovery Method can be offered as a one-on-one service or a group experience. EMDR is another supportive technique/therapy used to address traumatic life experiences and life anxieties and stresses.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
