I have been a practicing Clinical Counselor for over 15 years. As a counselor, I have sought to help others reach their full potential, utilizing their strengths and internal motivation to conquer their struggles. The counseling process is a partnership and an opportunity to share the weight of your burdens. It is an opportunity to process your belief systems and utilize your own tools to overcome even the hardest of challenges.

I have experience in working with clients with many needs, including help with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, acceptance, borderline personality disorder, and mood disorders. I predominantly have experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, but I also have some experience in Psychodynamic Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I work with the client to help guide them through stressful times and help them become self aware and accept some things as they are. I like helping clients recognize their positive qualities and increase their self-esteem.

People are a passion of mine. Getting to know, coming to understand, and working with people of all ages and in all walks of life is what I love to do. To me therapy is an exciting opportunity for you to improve what is helping you achieve your goals, and rethink things that may be getting in your way. While we will do work as a team, I will always insist that you are the expert on yourself, and that you lead the way. I work with a variety of issues and ages, but my focus is adolescents and adults. I am interested in working with anxiety, mood disorders, stress, and self-esteem. I am also LBGTQ+ friendly!

How would it feel to be able to take control over your depression & anxiety symptoms? To have healthier self esteem .
Do you feel worthless, not good enough and insecure? To everyone else you appear happy & have yourself together. If they only knew how much strength it is taking for you to put a smile on your face each day. You look in the mirror & think you don’t deserve happiness, because all you are used to is disappointment & pain. You experience a sharp tightness in your chest & it feels like a ton of bricks weighing you down. Your mind seems cloudy due to your thoughts racing, screaming at you that you’re not good enough. You blame yourself for your past & feel you deserved being hurt. You don't feel beautiful and fear steps in your way.

You are not alone, and you came to the perfect place to get the support you deserve and crave. You've tried everything to find peace, happiness, connection, but nothing has helped how you had hoped. You've tried various therapies, healing methods, support systems, mindfulness approaches, talk therapists, relationships, support groups, etc, and nothing is working. But today, at this moment, that changes. Today, we begin a new approach to therapy and healing - one that involves learning to trust and feel whole again. Together, you and I will work together, with creative compassion, to manifest the peace and happiness you desire.

I became a counselor to help others navigate and manage life’s varied challenges and live a more meaningful life. Therapy is an opportunity to identify the factors that contribute to your difficulties and to deal effectively with psychological, behavioral, interpersonal, and situational causes of those difficulties. Whether you’re going through a tough time or just feeling stuck, we will partner together to work through these issues. As a compassionate, intuitive, and supportive practitioner, I provide a confidential and non-judgmental environment where you are safe and free to share the weight of your burdens.

My approach in therapy is relational and collaborative. Drawing from psychodynamic, cultural, cognitive and mindfulness approaches we would explore your attachment and childhood experiences, current relational and intimacy patterns, professional/ familial/cultural circumstances, focus on emotions/feelings (anger, grief) thoughts (self/others/situations), and behaviors (avoidance) and find compassionate and respectful ways to relate to pain, gain insight/self-awareness, explore choices, & develop skills for desired change.

Self Esteem Therapists
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
