If you are depressed you are living in the past, if you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present. - Laotse. Many of us can relate to this quote. In fact, many of the individuals I see now have suffered from a tremendous amount of pain. I want to join you in your healing journey, reaching a feeling of peace and comfort. Give yourself the permission to tell your story and BE HEARD. As your therapist I provide a safe & non-judgmental environment to really begin this process. I have no doubt in your ability to be at peace. I want to reinforce your strength, potential, & worth.

Internally you are feeling a rollercoaster of emotions, and this imbalance is affecting your relationships, work life and overall sense of wellness. You notice your concentration is worse, patience is low, and irritability is high. You struggle with prioritizing yourself, communicating needs, setting boundaries and creating balance in your life. You know something must change, but nothing you’ve tried so far has worked long term. You feel that the next step is to reach out for support and form a relationship with someone that can assist you with healing, improving overall wellness and moving past these barriers to your ideal life.

Are you struggling with anxiety or depression? Dealing with relationship conflict that you just can't resolve, or wrestling with questions about the future of your relationship? Or are you simply overwhelmed by just how different your life is from the one you imagined before becoming a parent? Parenthood often brings old wounds to the surface, making it difficult to show up the way we want to for our children. I support parents in working through personal and parenting struggles using a positive, connected approach. Additionally, I have extensive experience supporting mental health professionals who are doing their own work.

My passion for helping others through emotional pain at a young age led me into the mental health counseling profession. Over the last 6 years, I have provided therapeutic care and support primarily to adolescents and children in residential facilities, schools and Cincinnati Children's Hospital (as a result, I am up to date on all the new trends and TikTok Dances!). I have a passion for helping teenage girls but that doesn't mean I won't be able to help you if you are an adult seeking support or are looking for help with your younger child.

My current practice is focused on helping the helpers. I enjoy working with a large range of human service professionals and caregivers from therapists to parents to teachers to first responders, nurses, and doctors to hairdressers. Those who are on their feet providing for others are my cup of tea. Burn out, secondary trauma, and re-aligning purpose are some of my specialties. I would love to create space where you can process, grow, and replenish your passion.

When the struggle and decision fatigue is real...Feeling overwhelmed with all the responsibilities of adulting? Trying to find a good work/life balance? Finding yourself stuck in a cycle of dating or being attracted to all the “wrong people?” Having a hard time prioritizing your life and setting firm, healthy boundaries? Life can often feel “too much” and you find yourself wanting to do and be better but when you stop to try and figure it out, it’s all too much and overwhelming. So, you do nothing instead because it’s easier to just avoid. If you're a parent, that adds another extra layer of "too much," exhaustion, and stress.

Hello there! Welcome. As my favorite Peloton instructor would say, “The tough part is check: done.” While that may not be 100% true depending on the circumstance, you still made a courageous choice. You took the first step in your healing journey, which I imagine took a lot of thought and deliberation. It takes considerable strength and insight to recognize we might need some additional support. I’m grateful you came across my page.

Welcome! I want to start by saying thank you for taking a moment to visit and read about me and what I do. It is not easy when choosing a therapist to talk to about life’s struggles. It can be scary and overwhelming, but I believe that it is an empowering and brave start. My name is Erin and as a therapist I offer safe space for self-discovery, healing, and personal growth. I implement a strength-based and mindfulness approach with a strong belief that change and personal growth are possible, and that individuals are able to find their inner strength and work through life stressors and barriers to happiness.

I believe that counseling doesn't come with a manual or a "cookie-cutter" approach. You are a person with feelings and thoughts unique to your own concerns and issues. I don't approach our counseling relationship based on your diagnosis or societal labels. I try to assist according to how you see your world and recognize that we all make different choices. We don't have to be held captive to a mental illness and I will help you try to find the "keys to those locks".

Not every therapist is for a client and not every client for a therapist. The Client-Clinician relationship is of greatest importance. I work with a variety of populations, presenting issues, and within different realms of interventions and theories. It is not a one shoe fits all. I meet the client where they are and work accordingly. Now that is not to say I do not nudge gently with a soft challenge. If I didn't I would not be doing my work, nor the service you (and everyone) deserves! I utilize animals within therapy work in sessions.

I believe therapy should be tailored as a unique experience to fit the client, just as each client is unique. I see the process of therapy as holding a safe and sacred space, where a therapeutic alliance is built between client and therapist, enabling clients to express themselves authentically, share their struggles, create goals, and overcome obstacles; leading each person to be the best version of themselves. As a therapist, I strive to be there each step of the way providing competence, support, and encouragement, to not only overcome obstacles, but to also find meaning in the journey.

The past is present for all of us in so many ways. For those with trauma, this is especially true. It becomes the lens through which you see yourself and the world around you. Any experience of trauma can fundamentally change how your brain functions. Most adult mental illness can be traced back to traumatic life events and can be significantly improved with trauma focused therapy. While I have a wait list for weekly clients, I have availability for intensive EMDR sessions. This is a good option for people who are motivated to treat their trauma and and want to make progress quickly.

Hello and welcome! It takes a lot of courage to consider getting support for a better life. I hope to be able to help. One of my goals in counseling is to facilitate growth and development through compassionate understanding and research-based solutions. I believe that authentic and productive change begins by establishing trust in the counseling relationship. This is the foundation on which I work with clients, as we talk about issues in their past, develop skills for overcoming present challenges, and create a new, more hopeful future together.

You are struggling to see yourself as worthy in your own life. Negative self-talk takes up the majority of your thoughts. People have hurt you in the past or have convinced you that you're not good enough in some way so you now experience self-doubt when it comes to any decisions that you need to make. You isolate yourself because it is safer to be alone (even though you hate being alone) than it is to have the possibility of getting hurt again. Most of your decisions are based around how to keep other people happy instead of making yourself happy. However, you are ready for a change.
