Hello! My name is Ellee. I'm a licensed counselor who specializes in complex trauma, borderline personality disorder, and suicidal ideation. I am a solo practitioner and owner of Cerebella Integrative Counseling. The type of clients I fit best with are often those who would describe themselves as “too emotional,” "stuck in the past," “sensitive,” or have been through therapy already and "have a lot of awareness but no one can tell me how to actually change." If any of these issues sounds familiar, you've made it to the right place.

Therapy with me is a process of self-discovery. While clients often come to counseling hoping to reduce anxiety, heal from trauma, or survive a difficult season of life, I believe something deeper is possible: the opportunity to better understand yourself and, in doing so, become more fully who you are (after all, it's never too late to become who you're becoming). My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and deeply compassionate. I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely accepted, not because you've earned it, but because every human being is worthy of curiosity, care, and respect.

For individuals, I use a blend of ACT, EMDR, IFS, narrative therapy, and existential approaches.
Our relationships define our humanity, bringing richness and joy into our lives while sometimes causing pain. They act as mirrors, reflecting our inner selves and fulfilling our innate need for connection. When we are connected to others, we feel more in tune with ourselves and our world. However, mental health challenges can both contribute to and result from relationship discord, creating a distressing cycle. Feelings of isolation lead to further disconnection, distancing us from our values and deepening our sense of loneliness and loss. Through therapy, we can carve a different path: one of vulnerability, intimacy, and joy.

We are all wired to find equilibrium – the state of rest and balance with our body, mind, and spirit. But sometimes outside influences like relationships, work, money, illnesses, politics, and world issues keep that from happening. We take a few steps forward, only to get pushed back much further. If you find yourself struggling to cope and hold things together in the midst of stress, loss, and/or a radical change, Life is likely calling for you to grow. Engaging in therapy is like going on a journey with a trusted guide who sees, hears, teaches, and supports you wholeheartedly.

Hi there and welcome! If you have been feeling constantly on edge, overachieving, people-pleasing, staying quiet, believing you need to be "perfect" or on guard just to get through the day, you are not alone. These patterns can come from past stressful or painful experiences, even when they aren’t labeled as trauma. As a result of these experiences, you may feel disconnected from others or yourself, stuck in survival mode, or unsure why things feel so hard. Therapy can help you understand what you’ve been through and heal and grow in a way that feels safe and empowering as you build greater resilience, self-trust, and confidence.

I often utilize more experiential interventions, such as inner child work, guided imagery, AF-EMDR and Internal Family Systems.
My clients are often holding it together on the outside but overwhelmed inside. They’re tired of repeating patterns—whether that’s numbing behaviors, trauma responses, or relationship struggles. They want to understand why they feel stuck and finally heal at the root. They’re ready for depth, not quick fixes. They want freedom from shame, clarity in their relationships, and peace within themselves. They value a compassionate, direct approach and appreciate that faith can be integrated when they choose.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
