Treatment approaches I use are CBT, Jungian, Experiential and Equine Therapy
Our approach to therapy is one in which our clients are viewed as resilient and resourceful. Our office is a place where change happens. I am now offering Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy to our practice. Horses are extremely intuitive animals and are able to help facilitate change on an emotional relational level that enhances the healing process.I have had a long interest in horses and find a healing effect to be activated when in their presence. This realization was probably the most important driving force that propelled me into this horse/person connection as a modality for treatment.

Whether you want a healthier relationship with yourself or with your partner, I’m here to help. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck—caught in self-criticism, easily triggered, overwhelmed by overthinking, or unable to access the confidence and steadiness they know is possible. You may look “fine” on the outside while internally feeling off-base, reactive, or disconnected from who you truly are. You want more authentic confidence, emotional security, and relationships that feel safe, connected, and lasting.
For couples, you may be having the same conversations that repeatedly turn into misunderstanding, conflict, or emotion

I find that many people just want to feel better, be happier, feel less anxious. They want to change their lives or at least become aware of their desire to improve the situation. I like the challenge of assisting people with self-limiting beliefs that can create anything less than a fulfilled and happy life. I enjoy helping people with their relationships, marital or otherwise and relish working with couples, helping them redefine their differences, improve communication and rejuvenate their intimacy, sexuaI and emotional.

My work is trauma-informed and grounded in approaches like CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Jungian therapy.
Healing happens in spaces where you feel safe, understood, and supported.
I work with adults navigating trauma, mood disorders, and moments of crisis that feel overwhelming or destabilizing. Many of the people I see are struggling with shame, self-criticism, or feeling like they “should” be handling things better than they are. I don’t see people as broken, I see them as people who are overwhelmed, lost, burned out, or carrying pain that hasn’t been fully processed.

I'm Kristen, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio and Indiana, and I help individuals and couples move from surviving to actually feeling like themselves again — with more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion than they thought possible.
My approach is collaborative and judgment-free. That means I take my cues from you. Some clients need a space to finally say the things they've never said out loud. Others want practical tools to quiet the anxiety or OCD spiral that keeps showing up. Most need both — and we'll figure out what works for you.

The entire world has been changed, seemingly overnight. Please reach out if you need to talk to someone. Ever wake up in the morning and said to yourself, "I cannot keep doing this", only to find yourself doing the very thing you swore off only four hours ago? If you have said this to yourself, you have probably been surfing the internet for a cure for addictions, or how to quit drinking so much, or how to make it through detox. Addictions are insufferable. I have been working in the field for 13 years with mental health and addiction issues.

Jungian Therapists
How does Jungian therapy work?
Jungian therapy, also called analytical psychology, focuses on a patient’s inner experiences and unconscious mind. Exploring a person’s unconscious mind can be achieved through several means, including the analysis of memories and dreams, and through physical exercises, such as art, dance, and word association.
How long does Jungian therapy last?
Jungian therapy is an intensive treatment type. Because its goal is to understand a person as a whole, including the unconscious aspects of them, treatment can range from months to years. Since patients learn the theory behind Jungian therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have completed.
Is Jungian therapy effective?
According to studies, many patients find success with Jungian therapy, and the century-old treatment has a devoted following. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in improving relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Improvements in problem areas seem to continue even after the end of Jungian therapy, as people are able to continue working on themselves using the tools they’ve learned during the treatment.
Is Jungian therapy evidence-based?
Jungian therapy is theory-based, derived from the theories of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist often called one of the fathers of psychology, along with Sigmund Freud. Jung developed his theories from observing the problems of patients, and developed many theories of how the mind works. Subsequent psychological research has determined that Jungian therapy can lead to significant improvement in most patients.
