Ideal clients are those that are the ages of 13 - 77; I want these ranges because I feel I can best help them with their issues and needs which for me so far it has been about changing some aspect of themselves that they are having issues with dealing. From the limited exposure the goals are dependent on the client and what they want at the time, I have also learned that being flexible and fluid is the best way to help clients.

You end up in the same situation with different people. You react before you think, shut down when you want to stay open. You manage everyone's emotions, three steps ahead, but internally barely holding it together. You believe the right things but still struggle with anxiety or self-control; wondering if your faith isn't strong enough. Attachment patterns and nervous system responses operate beneath what can you see, creating disconnection. Relationship anxiety, emotional shutdown, repeating conflicts: these are the patterns that need reconditioning. I understand what it feels like being stuck in patterns you can't interrupt.

Whether you want a healthier relationship with yourself or with your partner, I’m here to help. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck—caught in self-criticism, easily triggered, overwhelmed by overthinking, or unable to access the confidence and steadiness they know is possible. You may look “fine” on the outside while internally feeling off-base, reactive, or disconnected from who you truly are. You want more authentic confidence, emotional security, and relationships that feel safe, connected, and lasting. For couples, you may be having the same conversations that repeatedly turn into misunderstanding, conflict, or emotion

The state of our relationships has a major impact on our general wellbeing. If you're feeling disconnected from yourself or the people in your life, and feeling powerless to make a change, therapy could be a part of your path forward. I may be a good fit for you if you are interested in therapy that: feels warm and affirming yet holds you accountable for personal change; acknowledges larger problematic systems; includes both the mind and the body; is sex-positive; is trauma-informed; includes heart and humor. It is never too late to shift the experience you're having in life.

My primary passion is helping people heal from trauma as an EMDR therapist. I am so moved by the courage of my clients. I am amazed at our capacity for healing and am profoundly honored to assist in a process that is both so deeply painful and so joyful in recovery. I also work with clients on other issues like depression, anxiety, women's issues, life transitions, boundaries, communication and relationships. I have completed my Level III Board Certification in Telehealth because I want to be able to help people all across Ohio, not just those who can come to my office in person.

Infidelity Therapists
How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
