I believe you have everything in you to heal. My goal as a therapist is to help you uncover your inner-wisdom and help you learn to nourish yourself. With compassionate curiosity and authenticity, I help clients unravel intense emotions, identify unhelpful patterns, and better understand themselves. We'll work together to create a personalized plan that works for you - easing your day-to-day distress, while also healing the root of your concern. Looking at the hard stuff can be overwhelming - know that I'll be right there with you as we dig in. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where all of you is welcome and accepted.

The healing power of human connection cannot be overstated, and I believe this is what therapy is all about. My goal as a therapist is to provide the opportunity for you or your child to share whatever hardship you're experiencing, or goal you're working toward, and be met with compassion, empathy, and a sense of unconditional support. The space that is shared when a therapist and client meet is sacred. My hope is that you will find the room you need to explore and work through any hardship or toward any goal when you are in therapy.

Choosing the right therapist can be challenging but it is probably the most important part of the process. As your therapist, I won't profess to be an expert in your life, nor will I sit quietly nodding my head in complete silence. Instead, we'll work together, side by side, as we tackle life's challenges. I'll draw on your insights & provide guidance to help create positive, meaningful changes in your life. My commitment to transparency serves as the cornerstone of my work & is the foundation from which we will use to build a solid therapeutic relationship based on authenticity, trust, honesty, & compassion.

At its best, therapy is a healing relationship. A central goal as your therapist is to understand you and with that knowledge, to help you understand yourself better. The world outside is often intense, overwhelming, and disheartening. Therapy can provide a safe space to explore how your life experiences have impacted your view of yourself, your relationships, and humanity itself. We each deserve to have the space to have our unique struggles and suffering taken seriously.

Many of my clients come in describing anxiety, chronic self-doubt, or relationship struggles — and haven't yet connected those patterns to a relationship that taught them their needs were wrong. I help women unwind who they learned to be, and meet themselves on the other side. I work with complex and developmental trauma, narcissistic abuse and family of origin patterns, religious and spiritual injury, and somatic symptoms. In-person in East Nashville, virtual throughout TN and OH.

I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent adults, trauma survivors, and those navigating nontraditional relationships, including ethical non-monogamy and kink.
You don't need another person telling you how to think differently. You need a place where your whole self is welcome; your body, emotions, relationships, fears, and desires. At Rooted Resonance, therapy is about coming home to yourself. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware people who have done the work therapy, books, mindfulness yet still feel stuck in anxiety, people-pleasing, relationship struggles, shame, or disconnection from themselves. Insight alone doesn't always create lasting change.

As a queer therapist, I bring a unique understanding and empathy to working with LGBTQ+ clients, visionaries, and change-makers. I recognize the structural and interpersonal challenges of living authentically in a world that often resists difference and the emotional weight that comes with it. Anxiety, depression, trauma, and the toll of shapeshifting to survive are common. For those doing socially just work, burnout and disillusionment can follow even the most meaningful commitments. I provide a healing space for you to reconnect with your values and restore your ability to move through the world with intention and integrity.

Sex-Positive, Kink Allied Therapists
Why might an individual want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
A sex-positive or kinky individual may want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist because the client may feel safer and more supported discussing their experiences and challenges. A therapist who identifies as kink-friendly will have experience with clients having diverse sexual preferences and will likely be nonjudgmental and supportive about issues brought to the table. It is important to note that sex-positive, kink-allied individuals may find equal success with therapists who do not have such specialized knowledge and background. The most important factor in the success of therapy is for the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond.

Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in sex-positive, kink-allied treatment?
Generally, no. There are limited training programs and unofficial accreditations that therapists can pursue, but a therapist’s expertise will ultimately come from their previous experience with similar clients, their engagement with organizations that promote sex positivity or kink-allied lifestyles, and the importance they place on safety and cultural sensitivity.

How can individuals recognize a good sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
An experienced therapist is able to help clients explore their sexual identity and expression and relieve any discomfort or stigma attached to discussing such matters and the client’s overall challenges. A therapist who is sex-positive and kink-allied is able to create an environment that honors a client’s experience and sexual preferences. To recognize a good therapist, clients can simply ask directly about topics and issues important to them and gauge their comfort level and connection with a clinician based on the responses.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist with a focus on sex positivity and alternative sexual lifestyles?
Some individuals may feel most comfortable knowing that the clinician they’re working with has a commitment to creating an atmosphere of sex positivity and has experience with relationship diversity and alternative relationship structures. Working with a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist may help clients respect their own challenges and improve identity-affirming treatment.
