In my 30 years of experience as a child and adult clinical psychologist, I have developed a diverse set of assessment and therapeutic skills, allowing me to provide optimal care to children, adults and families. I am a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), and my specialties include helping families going through the difficulties of divorce , parent coordination, preserving a cooperative and collaborative environment to keep the children's best interests a priority, and conducting court-ordered custody evaluations. Attorneys and courts frequently request these services in order to help resolve child custody and parenting disputes.

It has been my privilege to help people develop lives that are deeply meaningful and emotionally satisfying. Psychotherapy is not a set of tricks or techniques. Rather, it is a personal relationship that affects people on a number of levels. Most of my clients come away from the process with some new practical skills and new, more adaptive ways of looking at life. They also hone their capacities to look at themselves, with more insight and greater self-understanding. Particularly rewarding for me has been my work with families, assisting them in healing from the wounds and fractures of divorce .

The people who come to see me for help get my compassion, understanding and good judgment. Often, what is required is someone to talk with, who will pay attention and listen objectively, and then communicate that understanding in a way that is helpful. I like to give my clients practical ideas that can help enhance the conduct of their lives. I also think that by talking things out with an experienced professional, my clients gain the courage to take control of their lives and make the (sometimes difficult) choices they know they need to make.

My specialties include childhood problems with toileting, sleep, emotional and behavioral adjustment and divorce . I work individually with adults and couples, particularly with relationship issues and divorce . I conduct child custody evaluations and provide mediation/parenting coordination for high conflict parents. The impact of divorce and death on the family is particularly painful for children and for parents who are trying to navigate their own survival.

I guide clients to gain insight and soulutions to their issues; emotions, life/relationship challenges and stressors. My experience and training uniquely qualify me to help guide individuals, spouses/partners, and couples struggling with sexual compulsivity issues, sexuality issues, affairs, co-dependency, and trauma. Also, I have extensive experience assisting clients navigate through the process of healing from divorce /relationship break-up. My approach with clients is empathic, solution focused and validating.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. I enjoy working with adult individuals and teens. Some of my specialties include anxiety, trauma, depression, and life adjustments/transitions (grief, divorce , moving, job changes, new school, and medical illness), though I am trained to work with a variety of mental health related issues. I especially enjoy working with families with school age children who are experiencing challenges related to adoption or other trauma-related issues such as divorce or abuse. The issues I work with include developmental concerns and adjustment problems, e.g., socialization, loss, divorce . I reinforce my work with children by strengthening parenting skills. I collaborate with schools as needed. My work with adults and the elderly includes life cycle issues, stress, depression and anxiety.

I work with individuals hoping to discover more about their cognitive abilities (like memory, attention, and language) and mental health concerns. I help people understand their mental health, brain functioning, and any diagnoses revealed from evaluation. My clients are often referred for an evaluation related to a legal or work situation, including an injury, divorce , or criminal offense. I am comfortable working with clients who have highly complex issues involving a combination of psychiatric and medical symptoms with or without a compounding legal situation.

I am a licensed Psychologist (OH, NJ, NY) with over 35 years clinical experience. I am also a licensed/admitted attorney in OH, NJ and in NY. I have a special interest in forensic child custody and parenting time/best interests of the child evaluations. I also perform forensic evaluations and treatment related to Worker's Compensation claims in Ohio.
