Sometimes life feels like an overwhelming quest — full of unexpected challenges, difficult emotions, and chapters that don’t go according to plan. My goal as your therapist is to offer a safe, relaxed, and judgment‑free space where you can catch your breath, explore your story, and work toward the changes that matter most to you.

Everyday, you wake up to a world of new obstacles, stressors, and even disasters, and sometimes it feels like too much to face. A seemingly growing wave of hatred and regression can make any sense of progress or hope feel fleeting and insignificant. The people you love hold on to beliefs that you might see as aligning with this regression. You want to cling to community but the more you learn and develop, the harder these relationships become. You need a safe, therapeutic relationship that accepts you for who you are, where you are, and where you can express your thoughts and feelings without fear of backlash or judgement.

If you've been waiting until you have everything figured out before starting therapy, this is a reminder that most people don't have it all figured out. Life can be complicated, overwhelming, and sometimes downright exhausting. Anxiety shows up uninvited, self-doubt gets loud, relationships become complicated, and life rarely follows the plan we imagined. At some point, many of us find ourselves wondering, "How did I get here?" or "When did things become this hard?" You don't have to do this alone. Together, we'll take the next step forward. Because despite our best efforts, Google doesn't have all the answers.

If I imagined my “ideal” client, they are someone who has trouble dealing with self-confidence, may have issues with handling their anxiety/depression, want help with organizing their lives and assist with ADHD, exploring future aspirations, or want to no longer allow their past trauma to dictate how they manage their lives. My “ideal” client is also motivated for change and are open minded. I want my clients to feel heard and validated, while also feeling like they have someone they can feel comfortable processing life stressors as they continue to navigate their lives.

We live in a busy, chaotic, and fast-paced world, where sometimes we find ourselves engulfed in our thoughts, overwhelmed with the present, and disconnected from what is within our control. This is where our yearning for growth, change, and improvements can begin. New beginnings always involve taking steps in finding solutions that can help us get back on track. So, allow me to become the source of support in helping you navigate through challenges, celebrate successes, explore the uncertain, and become a better you.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
