Most of us desire to live the most meaningful and rewarding life possible. It can be challenging to notice aspects of our life that are unfulfilling or even detrimental, and daunting to figure out what changes to make, even when we know it would be in our best interest. I will support you in this process of defining what you want for your life, and then deciding what changes must happen in order to support your wishes and goals.

Hello! I am the owner of Cocoon and Bloom Collective Wondering if it is the baby blues or something more? Not feeling that "instant connection" that you are told comes with being a mother? I'd love to help navigate these feelings with you and work towards understanding them together. Pregnancy and motherhood can be lonely at times, especially coupled with infertility or loss. I'd be honored to be able to support you during any emotional stress you are experiencing. These experiences are not always limited to moms and I offer a safe space for dads to process the change and confusion that can come with this phase of life as well.

Life is hard and we all encounter many struggles. It is also an opportunity for positive change to occur through careful examination of patterns and experiences that may have affected you. I believe that one of the most important parts of therapy is that the client and clinician are a good “fit”. The best work is able to be produced when this connection is made.

I currently offer both telehealth and in-person services, Monday through Friday, with evening availability.
Do you often feel like you're living your life for everyone but yourself? Maybe you're the one others count on—always agreeable, always achieving—but underneath it all, you're exhausted, anxious, and unsure of who you really are. If you're a teen or young adult who struggles with people-pleasing, perfectionism, or constantly tuning in to others’ needs while tuning yourself out, you’re not alone. If you are left feeling disconnected from your own emotions, unsure of what you want, and finding yourself stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I would love to guide you and support you in navigating these challenges!

I offer Christian counseling in person.
Navigating life as a Christian isn’t easy. We try our best to live a life that glorifies God, honor our spouse or parents, raise our children, take care of those in need, serve in the church, work hard but sometimes it all feels like too much to handle. Some of us have past hurts, trauma, failures that continue to plague us and it can feel impossible to move forward in life.

I came to this work through a deep personal journey of understanding what it means to be truly healed on emotional, psychological, and physical levels. I believe that separation from Self is the root cause of suffering in body and mind. By identifying these specific fragments, there is an opportunity for true, lasting, restorative healing. My approach blends Transpersonal and Humanistic models with Eco-Psychology and CRM. I embrace Epigenetics to address concerns rooted in DNA. Through embodiment work, we access trauma effects from this lifetime and past generations. True healing lies in your relationship to your body.

I offer therapy sessions in-person and virtually.
Hi there, I’m Megan! I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker who has known since I was young that I was meant to help others. Supporting individuals and families through life’s hardest seasons isn’t just my career — it’s my passion. There’s nothing more meaningful to me than walking alongside someone as they create real, lasting change. Over the years, I’ve seen a growing need for open, shame-free conversations around sex and relationships. That’s what led me to become a sex-positive therapist — because everyone deserves education, empowerment, and a safe space to explore who they are without judgment.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
