Seeking therapy is an act of courage and hope. When we are feeling overwhelmed with our emotions or life's stresses, or stuck in patterns we don't know how to break, it can be difficult to imagine seeing and experiencing ourselves differently. You are capable of exploring and replacing old patterns of thinking and behavior that are not serving you. Are you interested in increasing your ability to cope with difficult feelings, building insight and self-understanding, having more compassion for yourself, learning new skills, and improving your connection and intimacy with others? I can help you on your journey.

I consider it a privilege to be able to help people grow and find joy by being a therapist. I can support and guide you through the process of building a better life for yourself. Making the decision to see a therapist is a healthy choice! With the help of therapy, I have seen people transform their lives and make their dreams reality, and in short become who they have always hoped to be. I have constantly been in awe, as a therapist, of the strengths many people don't realize they have--that therapy can help them discover.

When it comes to individuals that are faced with the challenges of anxiety, stress, depression, relationship and self-esteem issues, I find it helpful to incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapies such as reframing our thoughts, practicing radical acceptance, breathing and grounding exercises in addition to mindfulness approaches, and art therapy techniques in order to get a better understanding of the parts of us that are masked by the anxiety, depression, or stress. Together, we will work on identifying the underlining parts of you that may contribute to these overarching feelings.

Self-worth. The common denominator is low self-concept and low self-esteem that was not established or through adversity, trauma, violence, and/or abuse was severely damaged. The client wants to end the emotional and psychological pain of existing. Connection, structure, and consistency are the tools that aid in healing. Living and thriving become possible when we add options and perspective.

Self Esteem Therapists
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
