She/Her/Hers
Welcome and Hello, my name is Ofelia. I would like to share a little about who I am as a counselor. I realize engaging in counseling can be a big decision to make and there may be some hesitation when someone feels the need to seek a counselor. It is difficult to know what experience to expect. I would like you to know that as a counselor, I work collaboratively with clients, meeting them where they are at. I have had the honor of working and creating a safe space with an array of resilient individuals age levels from 7 to up that were working in managing (anxiety, depression, SUD, grief, family/couples, cultural adjustment, LGTBQ).
My sessions follow the client where they would like to work within themselves toward resolving problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings, relationship issues they may be struggling with at the time of the session in order to create a safe nurturing environment to allow the client to explore ways they can start moving towards learning what works best for them.
It is my belief and passion to create a nonjudgmental safe space for all to embrace their true authentic selves free from guild and shame. My primary therapy treatment style is pragmatic eclecticism and have had spent several years assisting those who are in recovery or are starting their recovery in substance and alcohol disorder with co-occurring disorder.
