About
Are you going through difficult and stressful times? Have you recently had changes in your life? Do you want to get better at regulating your emotions? I am a licensed psychologist, a registered play therapist-supervisor, a trauma-informed therapist, and a certified mindfulness meditation teacher. The therapy I offer is dynamic and transtheoretical. It will help you with enhancing your mental coping skills by getting better at regulating your emotions and inner thoughts. The goal of our work will be to make you less reactive to life's stressors and help you become more mindful.
We we will start with listening closely to what you have to share with me. The next phase will include working-through the issues you have presented to me by processing difficult emotions, examining irrational thinking, and helping you develop new skills of emotional coping and adaptation.
What should you expect if you contact me? After a trial period (3 sessions), if we decide to work together, we will engage in weekly psychotherapy (12 - 18 weeks). At the end of therapy we will evaluate the outcomes of our collaboration. If needed, we will move into long-term, psychodynamic psychotherapy (up 18 months) to explore deeper layers of meaning.
