The Obsidian Therapy Group specializes in serving children, adults and families who either are on Medicaid, are ineligible for state-funded services, or do not have adequate insurance coverage or the financial resources to pay for counseling through the private sector. We especially welcome multicultural populations and specialize in concerns of people of color. Our counseling is oriented toward insight and behavioral change. Our goal is to help clients experience more peace of mind, improve relationships and self-esteem, and find positive approaches and solutions to dealing with life and mental health challenges.
Our counseling services are provided by professionals, residents, and graduate-level interns. Our therapists and counselors respect our client's perspectives and welcome all those in need, regardless of religious or cultural background.
Our staff is predominately African-American and appointment times and availability vary widely depending on the schedules of our counselors. So chances are we can find a great counselor convenient to your schedule. Our services are affordable because we use a sliding scale to keep costs low.
