Hello and welcome to my Profile page! I am a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania with a Master's Degree in Social Work from Temple University. I am a fun loving therapist that isn't afraid to give tough love when needed and/or offer a non-biased; honest truth. My ideal client is seeking change or maybe they just need a listening ear, someone that will be there for them in a time of need. Getting to the root of your pain, learning to deal with it, building upon your strengths then learning to act versus react to people and events is the goal of our approach. We have a long history of working with diverse populations, who have developed varied problems: Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Marital, Parenting, Occupational, grief and more Our approach is to work with your strengths; help you to develop new views and skills and then organize them into a plan that works in obtaining your goals. As a psychotherapy group practice, we can see just about anyone no matter what you're dealing with.

Everyone can use an objective voice to help them work out what is going on in their lives. Sometimes relief can begin just by deciding that a little help won’t hurt. “Beneath every behavior there is a feeling. And beneath each feeling is a need. And when we meet that need rather than focus on the behavior, we begin to deal with the cause, not the symptom” (Ashleigh Warner). This is my philosophy for counseling. I have done work with children/adolescents and their families. Mental health concerns manifest differently in children/teens than they do in adults, and I know what to look for and how to help find the skills to help.

I am committed to assisting my clients navigate through life’s challenges and identifying their unique strengths. My goal is to help clients learn how to heal past wounds and create healthier, more satisfying relationships with themselves and others. My clients are looking to move past addictions, fear, overthinking, trauma, depression, and anxiety to achieve more of what they want most out of life.

I have worked to create an integrated, evidence-based, and holistic group practice where my vision of the ideal environment for growth can unfold. The associates in the practice have diverse backgrounds, interests, and training. No matter what problem or difficulty with which you present, someone in our group can assist you. We have cultivated an environment of peace, warmth, and acceptance to assure you will be respected, unconditionally.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor who has been providing mental health treatment for over 25 years. I received my BA in Psychology from Montclair State University and my MSW in social work from Marywood University. I hold certifications in addictions treatment, forensic social work and motivational enhancement/cognitive behavioral therapy. Considered a "subject matter expert" in the modality of telehealth, all of my sessions are held with my client's safety and wellbeing a first priority.

Asking for help is not always an easy thing to do and is sometimes the hardest part of the therapeutic journey. It is my main goal to provide a safe, open setting where you can feel comfortable speaking your mind. My goal is to help you find your true self and understand your deepest thoughts, thus allowing you to live your life to its fullest potential. I strive to provide you support and guidance throughout your journey, at your own pace.

In a confidential and compassionate environment, we provide evidence-based, counseling/therapy services to individuals, couples, families, children, teens, and adults for a variety of issues. We also provide neuro-psychological testing and evaluation that may be needed for a variety of reasons: determination of a possible learning disability (AHDH, Autism), fitness for medical procedures (bariatric), Fitness for duty/Lethal weapons testing (Act 235/Act 120) . I have a passion for listening to people and helping them unpack their current struggles to develop skills needed to grow and move forward. I take pride in creating a non-judgemental and safe space to explore struggles with my clients. I graduated with my masters in social work from the University of Chicago and my masters in theology from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. I have worked with people who were coming from many different walks of life and facing many different challenges. I have worked with children as well as families, couples, and individual adults.

We have all experienced appointments or moments that we felt uncomfortable or forever changed as a result. Parenthood and life transitions are examples of journeys that no two people will ever experience the same, have the exact same feelings, exact same memories, or stories. Each person is different, each story is unique, valid, and special.

I am a professional counselor licensed in Pennsylvania with over 8 years of counseling experience working with individuals who struggle with eating disorders, mood disorders, trauma, physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, and addictions. I love working with individuals to find freedom and remove any obstacles that prevent living the life they have always dreamed of. My therapy style is unique, creative, individual, warm, and accepting. I treat individuals with respect, compassion, and empathy. My ability to see different perspectives enables me to meet people where they are.

My ideal client would be one who wants to change destructive beliefs and is willing to work on their goals in therapy. Their issues would be challenges related to having mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, or substance abuse disorders. Their needs would be someone to listen to them and challenge their faulty beliefs and cognitive distortions. Their goals would be to improve their overall coping, communication, and stress levels.
