As a Counseling Psychologist I am searching to find health or “ego strength“ in a person. People are capable of having internal positive and negative aspects in play at all times. Working from a psychodynamic model to see the whole clinical picture, I believe insight is crucial but it doesn’t guarantee behavior change.
