I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with years of expertise and passion in my field. I believe that healing take place from within and will work to facilitate that through a variety of approaches. At the Integrated Wellness Clinic, we feel that each person needs support and freedom to choose their own path. Healing from the suffering caused by addiction, mental health, trauma, eating disorders, obsessive sexual behavior, and other co-occurring conditions is not simply about managing life; it is about transforming it. At IWC, we support this trans formative work with approaches that strengthen and nurture mind, body and spirit.

I am passionate about helping clients to be more in the here and now (mindfulness), develop self-compassion, create healthy boundaries, make sense of their emotions and pain, and create a meaningful life. In my practice, I offer individual therapy and support for adults and adolescents struggling with a variety of challenges. From perinatal mental health, anxiety, depression, family/relationship issues, adult children of mentally ill/narcissistic parents, people pleasing and codependency, career stress, self-esteem issues, life transitions, school and behavioral issues or body image, I am here to help you through it.

I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults/adults to help build confidence and self-esteem by exploring your past and present while preparing for your future. I believe the client is the expert on their own life and I am here to walk along side them on their journey. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience, my practice is centered on helping my clients find balance and deepen their ability to access true wellbeing. My work, both inpatient and outpatient, has ranged from helping adolescents bolster self esteem and coping skills on one end to helping adults who have suffered from mood and personality disorders on the other. My specialty, though, lies in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, and my work and anecdotal research has allowed me to develop a keen approach to the healing of these ailments on the path to achieving long term mental wellness.

In my practice, I typically work with all different ages and types of clients that have a range of presenting issues, from Anxiety and Depression to Couples and Family Issues, Gender Identity Struggles, Personality Disorders, and many more presenting problems. I always listen to my clients and address their needs and make sure that they are getting the maximum benefit out of therapy and are working towards achieving their short, medium, and long term goals. I always tailor my therapeutic approach to fit the unique needs of each client, and I work hard to accommodate their scheduling needs, day or night, as well as their budget.

I am a licensed Professional Counselor and a Qualified Family and Divorce Mediator, and Parenting Coordinator. I received my Master's degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College and my mediation training through The Mediation Institute. My experience is working with children, adolescents and adults of all ages. I also work with families and couples.

My style of psychotherapy is more than just emotional support.

I take an eclectic approach and use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Reality Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution Focused, Reality Based, and psycho-education to individuals age 5 and up. My theory is that when people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, people are free to experience change.

One of the goals of counseling is to gain knowledge and insight into problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings, and relationship issues. I believe that a person can come into the knowledge of self to regain control, motivation, and self-worth to reach their full potential. In this I believe in establishing realistic and achievable goals for individuals and families that will bring forth true freedom. I incorporate several therapeutic techniques and interventions that are designed for the individual client that includes but not limited to; person centered, brief solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

I use an integrated approach to provide individual counseling and play therapy services to adults and children. I am interested in aiding clients who deal with difficulties surrounding divorce, daily stressors, relationship issues, anxiety and depression. I intend to focus on working with children and families attempting to readjust to the rules and roles of the new family structure that can surface. I will provide a safe environment where clients can work collaboratively with me to identify concerns and process them. I will help clients use this new awareness to determine effective coping and communication skills.

I have experience dealing with a broad range of issues. I offer discreet and effective treatment of Sexual Addiction, working both with the addict and their spouse or partner. I treat internet, gaming and other addictions using the many of the same techniques I use with sexual addiction. Treatment is done in both individual and couples sessions. I offer several ways of treating addicts with initial intensive out-patient treatment including weekly or bi-weekly appointments, daily appointments for three weeks, or a three day intensive treatment. relationship issues.

John Otzenberger, Psy. D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with almost 30 years of experience working with a variety of populations, including children (ages 10 and older), adolescents and adults. Most recently, Dr. Otzenberger served as the Director of Mental Health Services at the LSU Student Health Center, overseeing a team of clinicians that provides psychological care for more than 32,000 students. As a trained Adlerian psychologist, Dr. Otzenberger’s goal is to help clients develop a sense of social connection through the positive development of relationships within family, school, work, and community.

I am honored to do a job that allows me to help children and adolescents find their voice through the use of child centered therapy techniques. Ms. Williams possesses over 20 years of experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide array of mental health concerns including, but not limited to, Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder as well as Family Relational Difficulties and Peer/Social Difficulties. Ms. Williams has also worked in the school system assisting school administrators and faculty with behavior interventions, co-leading a bereavement group for children, co-facilitating a daily peer leadership class, and maintaining a caseload of students referred for individual counseling.
