I am a generalist who works with adult clients on a variety of different issues including depression, insomnia, anxiety and panic, PTSD, anger, relationships, parenting, and many other concerns. I also conduct bariatric and spinal cord stimulator pre-surgical evaluations.
One of the most valuable aspects of therapy is being able to get honest, caring feedback from another human being, especially one that can serve as an "outside observer." But I think that therapy works best when a strong, honest relationship is combined with an evidence-based approach.
As such, I draw from a number of well-researched techniques such as, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. I am a certified provider for Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure, proven treatments for PTSD, and have specialized training in the treatment of Insomnia.
