ADHD, OCD, grief, anger management, relationship and parenting are some of the areas we also focus on.
We understand how frustrating it is to search for the right therapist who matches the criteria you’re looking for. We understand that you may have called and emailed so many therapists hoping to find one who accepts your insurance, is skilled and experienced, and has immediate openings. We are a team of humanistic, skilled psychologists, MFTs, social workers and hypnotherapy practitioners who are dedicated to help you connect with the right therapist. We accept most insurances, advocate for all our clients to get reimbursements from their insurance and offer sliding scale to make sure finances are not an obstacle for you to receive the help you need and deserve. Our mission is to provide genuine, authentic care to all our clients. We believe everyone has the capacity to heal from trauma and meet their potential in life. We value your commitment to show up in therapy and collaborate with you actively to get you one step closer to your goals and potential in life in every session. We are passionate about our work and don’t consider it a job or a career. For us, helping you to reach your goals and find the clarity, peace, or happiness you’re looking for is our mission and calling.

Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support. It is hard asking for help and it can be scary to think about finding the right therapist, but it does not have to be. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions I create space to explore with care, kindness and collaboration.

Change is possible and I believe therapy is a place where you can explore the challenges and achievements that make our lives feel more fulfilled. My approach to therapy is one of empathy, collaboration and practicality. I like to make therapy fun, engaging, and a safe place for you to comfortably explore your emotions and learn new healthy coping skills to support your growth. I have a passion for helping others achieve more fulfillment and balance in their lives. My goal is to provide a safe space to explore feelings that may contribute to ongoing difficulties, re-process experiences, and ultimately co-create your next chapter.

I am here to help you embody a way of being that you are nurtured by. Pain and loss are a part of life, and my work gives you a space to share and process your story, make meaning in the face of suffering, and move toward healing and growth. We all get stuck; in overwhelming emotions, unwanted behaviors, and destructive patterns in relationships.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists

How long does OCD treatment take?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?

Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?

Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?

Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
