My 30 years of practicing psychotherapy have taught me to be an excellent listener, to value each unique individual who comes into my office and an empathic and compassionate human being. I strive to help each client get to know and value who they are, create gratifying careers and interpersonal relationships based on trust, deep emotional connection and self expression. I see my role as that of a guide and facilitator in the therapy process and I invite you to let me be by your side as you begin your own personal journey.
Our work will focus on helping you gain self awareness and self understanding through identification and exploration of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. You then have the opportunity to revise outdated beliefs about yourself, others and the world and enact new behaviors which will enable you to achieve your goals.
I have two sub-specialties: First I treat people who have lost or could potentially lose a cherished pet. See my You Tube Video on Pet Loss. Secondly, I work with men and women who have survived cancer and are are now trying to live gratifying and fulfilling lives.
