I believe in collaboratively working with clients to help them become empowered to overcome their challenges and have greater fulfillment in their lives. I work with clients facing a variety of difficulties including anxiety, depression, OCD, and grief. As a Catholic counselor, I believe in the inherent dignity of every person, and I hope that through the counseling process, people may rediscover their inherent value and begin to find healing and wholeness.

I received my Master of Education from The Ohio University, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling. I worked at a community mental health center, focusing on behavior modification, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, OCD, borderline personality disorder, trauma-related disorders, and dual diagnosis. I’m equally passionate about self-discovery, spiritual exploration, and working with marginalized groups. I emphasize the importance of multicultural competency in my professional and personal life.

I practice through a larger company with offices in multiple locations. Our intake department receives all emails and calls. I recently checked with intake and they stated it is taking 10 -12 days to return calls/emails. Please be patient because I'd love to meet you. For the past ten years, I have enjoyed being a therapist for both adolescents and adults. I focus on patient's struggling with generalized anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship concerns, and PTSD. My goal is to help individuals discover their own definition of contentment and/or internal peace.

I began her therapeutic career as a Mental Health Therapist in a male youth residential behavioral treatment facility, treating children of all ages. I have also worked in outpatient therapeutic settings, in-patient substance abuse treatment facilities, as well as many others.

My clinical training as a generalist has afforded me extensive experiences working with those seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and interpersonal distress. In addition to individual therapy, I also provide couples and family therapy.

My therapy practice centers on the belief that all people have the capacity to improve their thinking and their behavior with the assistance of a kind and understanding ear. Therapy simply helps to to work through life's challenges and transitions with guidance and focus. My therapeutic approach includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness strategies. I am passionate about psycho-education and utilize a strength-based, solution-focused approach to help clients to recognize their goals and work towards them in an effective way.

I specialize in helping individuals navigating lifestyle changes, and transitions from adolescence to adulthood. My ideal clients face issues like trauma, anxiety, depression, and day-to-day stress. I use evidence-based approaches, including CBT and EMDR, to empower them with practical skills and emotional resilience. My goal is to guide them towards self-assuredness, emotional balance, and effective stress management during this transformative phase. By changing the way we view life and stressors we are able to change how they affect us. Stress is inevitable, how you allow it to affect your day to day life is up to you.

If you find yourself feeling stuck with issues related to trauma, substance use, domestic violence, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, depression, or sexual abuse, I have vast experience and training to be able to assist. Specifically, I am passionate about Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing treatment. I am fully trained in EMDR by Institute for Creative Mindfulness. I will be able to teach you skills and tools to assist in recovery while being with you in the trenches. I have been a clinical social worker since 1983, and hold a Bachelor's in Psychology from Ohio University and a Master's in Social Work from the The University of Cincinnati. I also completed post-graduate studies at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. My education and consequential training and experience has afforded me the opportunity to work with a diverse client population. I have worked and lived abroad, so I have extensive experience working with special populations.

I am a licensed social worker with over 10 years of experience. I received my bachelor’s in social work as well as my master's of education as in intervention specialist at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. I also obtained a master’s of social work from Case Western Reserve University. I recently worked in hospice to provide therapeutic intervention to families, individuals, and couples as they work through major life events. I have worked within the hospital systems for oncology, obstetrics, hospice, crisis, and as a case manager providing therapy for a range of complex needs.
