I strive to provide efficient and effective treatment to meet the needs of each individual client while ensuring a warm, safe, and friendly environment. In addition to an inviting environment and a strong focus on outcomes, I value a collaborative approach and a strong relationship in therapy. Although I am the expert in helping people, you are the expert on you. This philosophy allows the client to feel responsible for his or her own successes and stay accountable for progress. My therapy is goal focused, fosters change, empirically supported, supportive, and incorporates an overall goal to attain balance and wellness.
I have helped many clients with the following: emotional eating, significant guilt after eating or not exercising, exercise addiction, poor self esteem or body image, above average desire to have a perfect body, perfectionism, sports anxiety, PCOS, anorexia, bulimia,binge eating, depressed mood, inability to control worry, and anxiety disorders.
My therapeutic orientation is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy which leads treatment for Depression, Bulimia, &Binge Eating Disorder. I also practice Family-Based Treatment (Maudsely) which is a leading treatment for adolescents with Anorexia. I spent the last four years working at the Renfrew Center which facilitated my proficiency in eating disorders.

This group includes clients who have been in treatment for an eating disorder before that could use extra peer and professional support in preventing relapse or decreasing symptoms. Age range from 21-33. Group meets Sunday nights 530-645. The group is co-led by two license professionals with extensive eating disorder experience. The group tends to be solution-focused and supportive. We tried to provide both support but alternative strategies to create change and maintain a healthier lifestyle.

Adolescent Self-Esteem and Body Image

We are developing a weekly therapeutic group for teenage girls who struggle with confidence. The group will focus on barriers to self-esteem as well as strategies to increase feeling better about self and body. Self-compassion, coping skills, and social skills will be targeted. Please contact if you would like to be put on the list. We are looking to begin the group by February 1, 2015. The group will be led by two therapists. One with extensive eating disorder and adolescent experience and the other with extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy.
