My ideal client is a neurodivergent individual—often someone with ADHD, Autism, or both—who is seeking a space where they feel truly understood, respected, and supported. They may be feeling overwhelmed by daily demands, struggling with emotional regulation, executive dysfunction, burnout, or the weight of internalized criticism they've carried for years. Many of them have spent much of their lives feeling "different" or misunderstood, and they're now looking for a therapist who not only has professional expertise, but who gets it on a personal level too.

Therapy is a great first step to improving one’s quality of life. Although we understand it’s benefit it can also be intimidating. Therapy isn’t about ‘fixing’ an individual, instead the focus is on empowerment and utilizing the skills the person possesses while developing other skills which may help support and maintain change. I believe a strong therapeutic alliance can assist anyone with facilitating the change they are seeking by developing a structure of exploration that alleviates the angst that comes with creating change in one’s life.

Therapy can be intimidating, and leave us feeling vulnerable in admitting to ourselves that somewhere we have gotten off course and our lives have become unmanageable. In this private and non-judgemental therapeutic space we will be able to work through areas of “stuck points” without fear of being labeled or misdiagnosed. Through our working relationship, there will be room to express a range of suppressed emotions in a healthy and productive manner, while learning to set healthy boundaries and work through conflict, both past and present. As your therapist, I will give you the tools you need to utilize in your everyday life.

Have you been feeling more stuck lately, like you’re not able to control how you react internally or externally with others? Does it feel like you’re watching yourself repeating a lot of the same tried and true patterns to navigate changes, but not getting the same results? I hold sacred and dig into the work in helping you feel the most like yourself - whether that is a version of yourself you have not met yet, or have not been in touch with for quite some time.

Living as an ADHD or Autistic adult can be frustrating and overwhelming. You might feel out of step with the world or misunderstood. Why don’t people just say what they mean? Why can’t people respect your process just because it’s different? Why can’t you feel more at peace with your body, mind, and senses? Our minds are colorful and complex, yet we struggle in a world not tailored to our unique patterns. Adapting and masking our true selves to fit in can be exhausting. The constant need to adapt, the feeling of being misunderstood, and the search for a space where you can be your true self is a path you need not walk alone.

These are the treatment types I use: Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment, Interpersonal, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Schema Therapy.
Okay, let me guess — life feels like a lot right now. You’re overwhelmed, drained, and stuck in patterns that just aren’t working anymore. Maybe you’re questioning your relationships, struggling at work, or wondering why you feel so disconnected. That glass of whiskey, wine, or weed isn’t helping like it used to. With nearly 20 years of experience, I use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you process difficult emotions, release what’s weighing you down, and reconnect with yourself. Together, we’ll create a path toward feeling more grounded and at peace.

Our beliefs and assumptions about the world inform our feelings, which in turn, influences our behavior. Many of those assumptions however are not entirely our own, or even in our conscious awareness. They come from our parents, communities, traumatic experiences, or a less developed version of ourself. Living a life that does not reflect our authentic values often results in inner conflict that negatively spills outward into our intimate, familial, and professional relationships. Taking time to explore what thoughts and values belong to our authentic selves, is one of the most important gifts an individual can give to themselves.

Does your life look perfectly curated on the outside, while inside you feel anxious, overstimulated, overwhelmed, unfulfilled, and secretly spiraling at 2am? If you’re ambitious, capable, and driven, but struggle with overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, or high-functioning anxiety, you’re in the right place. Maybe your brain is overloaded with to-dos, what-ifs, and “shoulds.” or it's constantly replaying conversations and second-guessing, leaving you exhausted from holding it all together. What if you could feel calm without losing your edge, rest without guilt, and create a life that feels as good as it looks?

Welcome to my practice. If we worked together, you could bring me your doubts, pains and fears. We could look into your problem behaviors and beliefs to see more clearly what drives them and what other choices you might have. We would get to know your strengths and use them. We would investigate how painful past experiences including trauma might still be affecting your reactions and choices, and try to reduce their impact. As a therapist, I am an active listener, often asking clarifying questions and inviting reflection. This exchange builds mindfulness, which I believe is essential to health.

Schema Therapy
How does schema therapy work?
Schema therapy is based on the idea that maladaptive thought patterns formed in childhood—that other people can never be relied on, for example—can interfere with healthy functioning in adulthood. Accordingly, schema therapy works by directly targeting such unhealthy schemas, identifying their consequences, and replacing them with more adaptive ways of thinking. To this end, schema therapists aim to “reparent” the client by offering what they didn’t get in childhood—validation, for instance, or compassion—to reorient their worldview.

Is schema therapy evidence-based?
Schema therapy is still considered relatively new, and research on its efficacy is still in progress. However, some studies have concluded that it can be effective at treating certain mental health conditions, most notably personality disorders such as borderline personality disorder. Evidence for its efficacy in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD is promising but less conclusive, and experts warn that much of the existing research is of low quality.

Is schema therapy a type of CBT?
Schema therapy is based on many principles of CBT, most notably the process of recognizing and challenging maladaptive thought patterns. But because schema therapy also draws from other approaches, including psychoanalysis and Gestalt therapy, it is not considered a form of CBT. It also typically delves deeper into the client’s childhood than does CBT.

How does schema therapy work?
Schema therapy does not call for a set number of sessions and is instead open-ended, with the treatment timeline depending on the client’s primary concern(s), progress, and preferences. Treatment that lasts between six months and two years is common, though many clients will start to see progress much earlier than that.
