I'm a certified Mindful Outdoor Guide, DBT and CRAFT therapist, trained in ecotherapy, ketamine assisted therapy, and hypnosis.
Becoming happy with the people closest to you can be the most challenging part of life. You might know what’s causing unhappiness in your relationships but just can't figure out how to change it. The same conflicts repeat themselves over and over, and despite your best efforts to avoid it, you still catch yourself yelling, arguing, or walking away defeated. We're not always able to resolve things when we want to with the people we love, but the good news is that when we recognize this as a temporary circumstance of our life, we can start to heal some of that pain. We're wired to improve our relationships and to feel good in them.

I find most people can see success relatively quickly using CBT and/or DBT and it is a pleasure to see people get relief from symptoms like obsessive thoughts or ruminations.
I have a passion for helping clients cope with anxiety and depression and to learn how to incorporate mindfulness and joy into their lives. I enjoy working with teens and adults.

Feeling anxious all the time is such a crippling feeling and can feel like there is no escaping it. Just when one anxious thought starts to go away, another one shows up and takes its place. It can feel like an endless cycle of racing thoughts, worry, and fear about anything and everything. It’s hard to know when the anxiety will be over especially living in an anxiety-inducing world that is constantly changing which in turn leads to more anxiety. If this sounds like you, you're not alone!

My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected — whether from past trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship or family struggles, or during major life transitions. They may be carrying emotional pain they don’t always have the words for, and they’re looking for a space to feel heard, validated, and understood. More than anything, they want to feel better — to gain clarity, reconnect with themselves, and build healthier relationships. They’re seeking meaningful change and a therapist they can trust to walk alongside them in that process.

Modern life is not for the faint of heart. Days packed with nonstop tasks, endless decision-making, and the feeling that ‘you’ll never catch up’ can take a toll on your mental health and the hope you have for the future. Thinking clearly and finding sustainable peace and harmony often seems impossible. Your past experiences, the situations you’ve lived through, and what you’re dealing with now can all influence how well you cope and connect. We often feel fragmented, broken, and needing to be “fixed.”

People don't fit into boxes, so I draw from narrative, humanistic, CBT, DBT, and creative therapies to meet you where you are.
I work with adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and the impact of intergenerational trauma, with a particular focus on young adults, new parents, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals. My work explores how intergenerational patterns, past experiences, and current circumstances shape the way we understand ourselves and move through the world. Together, we’ll identify patterns that no longer serve you and develop practical tools for greater clarity, confidence, and life satisfaction. I offer an affirming, individualized space where you can explore your experiences without judgment and work toward lasting change.

I often use CBT and DBT, but I believe every person’s healing looks different, and will pull from various modalities if needed.
I’m a first-generation New Yorker with Hispanic roots, a recent graduate with my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling, and a Certified Peer Support Specialist with nearly a decade of experience. I’ve had my own struggles with depression and anxiety, so I know how tough it can feel just to take that first step. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can show up as yourself and be truly seen.

I use a variety of approaches that include Brainspotting, IFS, DBT, and art based interventions.
You are the main player in your life. It may not always feel this way, whether it is past experiences, unhelpful habits, or challenges arising in your relationships that seem to be taking the lead. You CAN build on established skills and develop the necessary tools to help you feel in control again. Though this can take time, you’re working to take the steps needed for your own well-being. For that, I commend you! Will it be hard at times? Yes. Will it get better in time? Yes! With your willingness and desire to be a part of this journey, you can accomplish your goal, and I will gladly support you in that.

You deserve to feel steady, safe, and at ease in your own body. Healing begins with learning how to regulate your nervous system — gently guiding it out of survival mode and into a place where calm, connection, and self-compassion can grow. My approach is body-based and deeply compassionate. Through Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Polyvagal Theory, and other mind-body practices, I’ll support you in finding balance and building trust within yourself. This isn’t about fixing who you are — it’s about reconnecting with the strength and wisdom you already carry.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
