Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT

I’m an LMFT licensed in both New York and New Jersey, and I work with adults who are navigating some of life’s most emotionally demanding seasons: parenting stress, relationship strain, depression, ADHD, and the kind of high-functioning exhaustion that doesn’t always look like struggle from the outside but absolutely feels like it.
I believe that healing rarely happens in isolation — it happens in connection. Before any technique or homework assignment, I prioritize building a therapeutic relationship where you actually feel safe enough to be honest. That foundation isn’t just good therapy etiquette; it’s what makes everything else possible.

It takes a lot of courage to engage in therapy. At some point in life, we can all benefit from speaking with an objective professional. Welcome to the next step in your journey. Are you struggling with relationships? Do you find yourself repeating patterns despite experiences that tell you differently? Do you have difficulty setting boundaries? I also work with clients with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. These are a few of the issues that bring people into therapy.

People seek therapy because of the challenges that come to them through times of transition. If you want to focus on healing without having to worry about a third party monitoring your personal struggles and demanding a diagnosis, I am happy to partner with you directly, creating terms that we negotiate together. Healing is likely the most important task that you'll tend to in your adult life. I will guide you in that process without pathologizing or labeling you. Becoming the fullest expression of yourself is a worthwhile and deeply personal task, not to be compromised by political systems.

I have over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescent, and adults doing just this. It is an honor to hear my client's stories and aiding them in their journeys.

Accepting New Clients/ In therapy we will build upon your own inner strength and authentic self to process and heal pain or psychological injuries that may be getting in the way of living a healthy, integrated and fulfilling life. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process: we will work together to navigate and explore any problems or patterns in your life that may be contributing to the challenges that you face. I am not a therapist that will tell you what to do, but I will help you explore all the parts that make up YOU, including the parts of you that are resilient and know the way forward.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
