My use of therapies include Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused, Mindfulness Meditation, as well Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Over the past 35 years, I've had the privilege of working with individuals in a multitude of environments from residential facilities to outpatient community mental health clinics. My experience has taught me the importance of respecting one's humanity through the use of a compassionate, nonjudgemental, and supportive approach. It is my firm belief that we all have the capacity for change. There is an inherent resilient nature within us that can be strengthened and utilized to achieve goals. My practice is directed toward empowering individuals to build on their strengths. I value "seeing the person and not the diagnosis".

Because of this, I utilize techniques from several different therapeutic modalities; including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, person-centered, as well as strength-based, and holistic approaches.
We all will face challenges in our daily lives, and sometimes these challenges can feel overwhelming. Even so, reaching out for help can be a very vulnerable and scary situation. I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment for my clients to feel comfortable working toward their goals.

I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy (psychodynamic, CBT, ACT, & schema therapy), meaning that I cater my approach to your specific needs.
One thing that we all share as humanity is that we all experience emotional discomfort or pain, it is simply unavoidable. However, we can learn how to identify, tolerate, and manage uncomfortable emotions to help us better navigate challenging times. Whether you are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, panic, depression, relationship problems, adjusting to a new life transition, or are simply on a journey towards learning more about yourself, my main goals are to promote healing by showing up as my authentic self and to create a nonjudgemental space that promotes self-compassion.
