Do you care deeply for others, but rarely feel truly cared for yourself? Maybe you're the strong one, the one people turn to, but inside, you're feeling lost, overwhelmed, or exhausted. You might crave intimacy or connection but still feel unseen, even in relationships. Maybe you've always been "the responsible one," but no one's ever held space for your story.
You could be navigating a major life transition- identity, parenting, loss, or change- and longing for somewhere to land. A place where you can stop performing and start becoming. A space where your full complexity is welcome, not too much.

I have five years of training in therapy with LGBTQ clients, folks living with HIV, and gender affirming care through my work at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Callen-Lorde Community Health Center.
I provide trauma-informed therapy for queer, POC, cross-cultural, and non-monogamous couples and partners to support intimacy through self-awareness and intentionality. You may be entering a new stage together, rebuilding after a rupture in trust, exploring non-monogamy, or seeking to deepen a strong connection.
Our closest connections can reveal subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) ways we tend to sabotage our relationships. These behaviors are often unconscious and can quietly serve to "protect" us from intimacy. As counterintuitive as this may sound, closeness is very vulnerable, and we do not always feel comfortable with this.

Recovering from trauma and dealing with systemic injustice is a tall order for both individuals and for partnerships and couples, and you deserve a supportive and understanding space where you can grow and heal. Neurodivergence, queerness, non-monogamy, chronic illness, trauma, depression, and anxiety can all impact our relationships with ourselves and others and require an understanding and compassion for the unique intersections of those identities.

Art is a powerful tool for healing! It can help resolve conflict, improve relationships, manage behaviors, reduce stress, and foster insight. It also offers the joy of creative expression. I strive to create a space that feels safe, affirming, and gently challenging. We might talk, make art, or blend approaches. You don’t need to be an artist; just open to exploring.
My ideal clients are curious + open to growth. They are navigating family conflict, identity, immigration, queerness, anxiety, depression, or life transitions, & are seeking creative, supportive healing. Therapy can be tender and hard, but it can also be fun & playful!

The parts of ourselves that we struggle with are sometimes our greatest assets. Therapy can be a place to better realize our strengths and identify where long-term narratives and behaviors are no longer serving us. I am passionate about working with people on areas such as OCD, anxiety, trauma, adoption, gender, and relationships including romantic and parental. Oftentimes religion/spirituality and sex/sexuality, come up in my work. My therapeutic approach incorporates both systemic and relational pieces. We do not exist in a vacuum. All of our experiences shape the person we are today

My ideal clients are looking to build more fulfilling relationships with themselves and the people in their lives—as this intersects with mental health journeys as BIPOC, queer and trans folks, polyamorous/CNM/ENM/RA folks, allies/accomplices, neurodiverse folks & people of all identities with feminist/social justice values. I help people dream and envision the lives they want—in their bodies, their sexuality, their healing, their relationships/friendships/families, their work, in their spheres of influence—and move towards them. I help people heal & grow from patterns that we formed out of survival or socialization.

My ideal client navigates life with a neurodivergent mind (ADHD/Autism), often battling anxiety or trauma from trying to fit a mold that wasn't built for them. They struggle with executive dysfunction, sensory overload, and the exhaustion of 'masking' their true selves.
They need more than support; they need a neuro-affirming strategist. Their goal is not to 'fix' their brain, but to master it. They want practical tools (CBT/REBT) to handle emotional regulation and focus. Ultimately, they seek to move from surviving chaos to living authentically, finding a space where they are fully understood.

Transgender Therapists
As a gender-diverse individual, why might I want to see a therapist who is also gender diverse?
A trans or gender-diverse client may want to see a therapist who is also trans or gender diverse because the client may feel safer sharing their experiences and more confident that the therapist will understand, validate, and support them. But trans or gender-diverse clients can also benefit from therapy with cisgender therapists; this is a personal decision based on the connection between the client and the therapist, and if that connection is strong, therapy will be successful.
What if I cannot find a therapist who shares my gender identity?
Therapy can still be effective if a therapist does not share a client’s gender identity; a large body of research indicates that the most important factor in successful therapy is the therapeutic alliance. A therapist can also be interviewed for sensitivity and competence on gender identity and expression to ensure they possess appropriate knowledge and skills. Many therapists have excellent training and extensive experience working with gender-diverse clients, and that expertise can be invaluable despite a therapist not sharing the same firsthand experiences.
How can I recognize a good therapist for working with gender-diverse clients?
An experienced therapist should be able to help clients explore their gender identity and expression, alleviate discomfort related to their gender identity, treat mental health challenges and trauma, address existing relationships and communication with family members and loved ones, and determine the next steps pertaining to nonmedical or medical gender-affirming interventions. To recognize a good therapist, clients can ask about these topics and explore their comfort and connection with the clinician.
How might I inquire about a therapist’s experience working with transgender clients?
Clients should feel comfortable asking therapists directly about their experience working with transgender or gender-diverse clientele. For example, clients may ask about the therapist’s training and education with regard to gender identity, how many trans clients they’ve worked with in the past, and what sorts of matters were discussed. You may wish to inquire how a therapist specifically supports the needs of transgender clients or clients questioning their gender identity. A good clinician who is nonetheless not the right fit for you is often happy to make referrals to others based on the concerns you articulate in a preliminary conversation.
