Judith Schaer, CSW, CGP, FAGPA is in a full time private practice, treating individuals, couples and groups, offering Interactive Therapy Groups and Consultation groups for Clinicians in her Roslyn office. She was Consultant/and Group Programs Trainer for Long Island agencies. She was on the Board of Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society for 15 years, and the Long Island Chair of an EGPS discussion group for 10. She was responsible for Fundraising and was honored by this Society for her contributions. She was made a Fellow of American Group Psychotherapy Association. She has been a Fellow Member of Society Clinical Social Work, where she started the first Peer Group Supervision.
Co-Founder and Director of the Long Island Center for Group Training, where Training the LI Group Therapist in the art and theory of group has remained a passion. She has also been on the faculty for EGPS Specialized Studies, Adelphi and C. W. Post.
She was Faculty and Board Member at the Rogerian Center For Interpersonal Growth for 12 years, where she trained directly with Carl Rogers. In addition, she was Director of Group Programs at the Child and Family Counseling Center for 14 years. She has been an invited Intructor/Faculty for National, International and Regional Group Conferences.
