Today’s life is filled with many stressors that may affect us in the present moment. The demands of everyday life can leave us feeling tired, drained and overwhelmed. Many of us continue to hold the stress from the past and present in our minds and bodies. In addition, as new day brings a new stress and a new challenge, our bodies may become consumed with it to the point that this would be the only way we know -thus forming a stress habit. However, it doesn’t have to be this way. The everyday possibilities of joy are there for us, such as being present in the experience of sunrise or sunset.
If you are ready to embark on a journey to improve your life the therapists at Project Hospitality's Wellness Center are excited to serve you! We provide heart-felt compassionate care to those seeking therapeutic supports. We employ a wide variety of techniques suited to your inidividual goals, but you are always in control of your own therapy. We also offer the option of psychiatric services and medication for anyone that would also like that added support.

You may have found yourself stumbling over the same problem. Some are experiencing anxiety or depression. Perhaps your irritation over situations is overriding your previous levels of patience. You find yourself avoiding challenges, at times even avoiding relationships. It is time to consider a different alternative. Psychotherapy offers a reflective view of your past life experiences and their impact on you overtime. Often when analyzing the reflective experience, it explains current feelings and responses and allows you to become objective. This objectivity gives you clarity and increases your choices and control.
All people have the capacity to face challenges and improve the way they respond to difficult situations. It is possible to learn to manage thoughts and feelings, so you are not completely overwhelmed with life's challenges. I have over 15 years of experience guiding adults, children and families through their most difficult times. Through the integration of support, education and awareness, you will learn to cope and move forward to achieve balance in your life.
As someone who suffered from anxiety & trauma, I can tell you that I spent years looking for the right therapist & I just wanted results. I knew I had the potential to achieve so much more and create a life that I was excited about living, but I didn’t know where to start. I saw many therapists over the years & I was sick of just TALKING & re-living things over and over without seeing improvement. Finally, I met a therapist that changed my life. He introduced me to brainspotting, & IFS. I was skeptical at first but I was open minded & tried it out. I learned that trauma is stored in the body & that talk therapy doesn’t address that.
Are you or your child struggling with adapting and coping with the current changes in your life? Do you feel like you no longer have control over your emotions, like a bag floating around in the wind? Are you or your child struggling to get out of bed each day? Do you or your child feel overwhelmed by your thoughts and emotions? Do you feel like you or your child is struggling and you feel lost on what step to take next?
I attempt to awaken your self-actualizing tendency, via acceptance (unconditional positive regard), congruence (genuineness), and empathic understanding. Accordingly, my practice is strengths based. This focus sets up a positive mindset that helps you build on your best qualities, find your strengths, improve resilience and change your worldview. I acknowledge that traumatic experience can effect your current beliefs and feelings through memories and automatic responses. My couples work combines mindfulness, assertiveness and communications skills training and helps a couple to make the adjustments necessary to rediscover each other and resolve the conflicts that separate them emotionally.
