In my almost 30 years of practice as a psychotherapist I have treated children, teens, adults and their families. The aim has always been to listen, support, guide and help others understand themselves better as well as discover more satisfactory means of managing their feelings and circumstances to maximize their potential for healthy relationships, self-concept and see possibilities for themselves.

Trained and certified in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) for Psychosis, Panic Disorder, and Anger Management, IPT (Inter Personal Psychotherapy) for Depression.
Often our mental health issues are triggered by the highly demanding lifestyle in a stressful environment. We are not able to process all the issues we face all by ourselves. We need professional perspectives of our issues. In therapy I help patients analyze their issues in a scientific manner. My approach is holistic: health, body, mind, spirit, biology, and the environmental factors. Every human being has potentials to overcome their problems through time, patience, insight, using proper resources, and applying their inner strengths. I have faith in my patience. My motto: Educate. Empower. Evolve. I am inspired by what I see!

I help men rebuild confidence, sharpen emotional control, reduce anxiety, and break patterns that keep them stuck.
You’re a man who gets things done—but lately something’s been off. Maybe it’s stress, burnout, relationship conflict, anger that hits out of nowhere, or the pressure to always stay strong. You’re tired of overthinking and carrying everything alone. Underneath it all, you know you’re capable of more—you just need clarity, steadiness, and a mindset that actually works. You want to feel stronger, more grounded, and back in control of your life again.

These chapters can bring anxiety, grief, loneliness, or a sense of not feeling like yourself.
I am a psychotherapist who believes healing happens in spaces where you feel seen, heard, and not judged. My work is rooted in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care, and I approach therapy with both clinical skill and deep compassion. As a BIPOC woman, I understand how layered identities, family expectations, and lived experiences shape how we move through the world. I integrate evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR-informed techniques, while honoring the whole person (mind, body, culture, and story).

I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and trauma.
I use CBT, EMDR, and a holistic psychology approach in working with clients. I am an expert in CBT having taught this course at the graduate-level at NYU. I am firmly rooted in "bottom up" modalities focused on neurobiology and mind-body approaches. We all have the answers within; we may not have been taught how to listen to that inner intelligence.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
