Your child's wellness is my priority. I work with children and teens who suffer from anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation challenges to help them to learn to cope with life's frustrations. Especially during this pandemic, children have been taxed with having to manage numerous new challenges in life with limited outlets due to necessary safety precautions. I'm here to provide virtual support to children while helping parents learn to help their children use the tools they learn through therapy so that they can face stressors in a healthy way.

I treat older teens and adults experiencing challenges with anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties and adjustments to major life changes, such as school transitions and becoming a parent. It is easy to sometimes lose sense of who we are, as we become accustomed to the routines of our lives, and to the worries of our days - big and small. I work with clients to unpack the events and situations that led to feeling emotionally unwell, and to develop and build on skills to address these issues in order to help clients feel more empowered in making positive changes in their lives.

I am licensed in NY, NJ, and FL. Deciding to start therapy can feel both scary and relieving. It can also be really difficult to find a therapist who you feel is a good fit for you. Whether you are really struggling with something, or you just want a therapeutic ear, I am an active and empathetic listener who can help you find clarity and offer compassionate and practical support in navigating challenges in order to help you unravel and reorganize what you are going through. I work with preteens, teens, and adults by creating a safe and non-judgmental space with room for wit and humor.

Teen Therapists
Adolescence can be a time of both disorientation and discovery. The transitional period can raise questions of independence and identity; as adolescents cultivate their sense of self, they may face difficult choices about academics, friendship, sexuality, gender identity, drugs, and alcohol.

Most teens have a relatively egocentric perspective on life; a state of mind that usually abates with age. They often focus on themselves and believe that everyone else—from a best friend to a distant crush—is focused on them too. They may grapple with insecurities and feelings of being judged. Relationships with family members often take a backseat to peer groups, romantic interests, and appearance, which teens perceive as increasingly important during this time.

The transition can naturally lead to anxiety about physical development, evolving relationships with others, and one's place in the larger world. Mild anxiety and other challenges are typical, but serious mental health conditions also emerge during adolescence.
