One of the hardest parts of therapy is picking up the phone and being vulnerable with someone you don't yet know. I'd like to help you over this hurdle by providing you an empathic and accepting environment. I believe the connection between therapist and client is an important part of the healing process and I encourage a collaborative working relationship. Through therapy, I can help you make positive changes in behavior, thinking, and feeling, improve your relationships, and better your sense of self.

Have you been feeling worried, overwhelmed, or stuck lately? Do you tend to keep your struggles to yourself because no one really understands? Too often we isolate instead of reaching out when things get tough, but you don’t have to go through it alone. My approach is integrative and rooted in authenticity, trust, and empathy. I specialize in working with young adults who feel anxious, overwhelmed, have trouble managing their ADHD, are going through a life transition, or simply want a non-judgemental safe space to explore their feelings and better understand themselves.

When the body is wounded, it shows a powerful and innate ability to heal itself. Likewise, the psyche has a natural inclination toward healing if conditions are right. Therapy is the container made of these essential conditions—connection, compassion, deep listening and, above all, safety. In it, one can access their inner intelligence to bring about growth, transformation, & greater balance. I approach my clients as a partner in this process, believing in your capacities and strengths as the foundation of healing.

I understand that seeking out therapy can be both a comforting and intimidating prospect, and I commend individuals who reach out for help. Whether you are looking to address a specific problem, or are in search of someone to assist you in gaining a greater insight into yourself, therapy can be hugely beneficial. Perhaps you are dealing with a difficult time in your life and need help managing the emotions and thoughts that come along with that. I aim to assist individuals in better understanding the relationship between their feelings and thoughts and explore ways to change maladaptive patterns.

I would like to offer my help to anyone who struggles with the current global situation. Right now many of us are struggling with increased stress and anxiety, as well as heavy emotions that might be coming up from unprocessed experiences from the past. Understanding the ways our nervous system and body handle stress and trauma can be very helpful in finding our way through the storm.

If you’re feeling stuck in the same patterns you don’t need to struggle alone. Therapy with me is a relationship where you can feel free to be (and discover) who you are. Together we create a space where you can speak openly to examine present and past, so that your desires for the future can be fulfilled. In our work you can expect to gain insight into underlying narratives and beliefs that are shaped by a unique personal history, learn new skills that alleviate suffering, heal, notice increased confidence and reduced conflict. When your perspective shifts so does the way others relate to you.

As a clinician, I integrate psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approaches and EMDR with a Gestalt orientation and aim to make psychotherapy practical, flexible, and thoroughly individualized, matching the treatment to the changing needs of the client. I work with adults and couples and also do life coaching, management training, and executive coaching. In addition, I conduct wellness seminars on various topics (e.g., stress management, meditation, healthy eating, alternative healing). An area of expertise includes working with the expatriate community.

Psychotherapy alleviates suffering and expands your capacity to live a fulfilling life. It helps you to build stronger relationships, find satisfaction in work, be more creative, and achieve your goals - whatever they may be. Good psychotherapy works through collaboration; we work together to understand your experiences, memories and relationships in order to create openings for change. My practice is diverse across race, nationality, ethnicity, gender, sexuality and age. I believe that therapists must be sensitive to social issues and must bring into treatment an understanding of the suffering and trauma caused by marginalization.

My coaching and psychotherapy practice is a synthesis of my insights in the fields of psychology, neuroscience, psychoanalysis and both long and short-term psychotherapy techniques. The goal is to identify an individual's core values and to use them to overcome obstacles and support a balanced life. I deliver simple and reliable tools that help motivated clients to make positive, enduring changes for the better. Many of my clients are very creative; writers, musicians, filmmakers, academics, and fine artists. Others are extremely successful in the fields of medicine, law, finance and commerce.

Many individuals view the goal of therapy as that lightbulb moment, when everything clicks into place. While this might be the most obvious version of therapy, the therapeutic process can take many forms, from short-term crisis management to a life-long search for a stronger understanding of self. I work with individuals experiencing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and self-doubt. Using an integrative approach, I help clients face difficult life circumstances, reframe unhelpful thoughts, and replace self-criticism with increased self-understanding, empathy, and confidence.

I am a board certified clinical neuropsychologist. My specialty is clinical & forensic neuropsychological evaluation across the lifespan. Assessment involves an in-depth understanding of the effects of neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions on brain functioning. The goal is to see you, not the disorder, & to understand how the condition affects you, determine intervention & treatment needs, & enhance your quality of life. Please note, this is an assessment service. I am not providing therapy though I will make appropriate & targeted recommendations based on the findings so that targeted treatment occurs.

If you're having difficulty living with painful or troubling thoughts, feelings and behaviors (or finding that you shut down or go numb) I can help by having us make sense of things together so you'll both feel and DO better. I make it a point to check in from time to time with each person I work with to inquire to what extent you're feeling understood and helped. I utilize talking and listening in a conversational manner or offering guidance with empathy as a constant background, using additional interventions from mindfulness, DBT and CBT approaches.

Therapy is not about fixing you as if you're some broken thing. To me, it's about recovering from suffering, and connecting deeply and authentically to yourself, allowing for your thoughts, feelings, desires and dreams. It can be difficult to begin a new therapy relationship and be vulnerable, especially when relationships have been harmful in the past. I think taking the risk anyway reflects an inherent pull toward repairing the old wounds that restrict our capacity to live freely and joyfully. I love working with LGBTQIA folks, relationships, trauma and abuse, and difficulties with shame, self-love and acceptance.
