As a therapist, I integrate traditional therapeutic approaches with somatic-based, principles and practices that allow your truest essence to emerge and live a fuller, brighter and more abundant life.
Do you have a feeling that “something” is missing from your life and you can’t quite figure out what it is? Are you moving through each day with ruminating thoughts, fears, and feeling isolated even though you may be surrounded by people? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, there is an emotional block holding you back. The main blocks to living a full life are: fear, anger, grief, and shame. These blocks are unburdened wounds that need to be revealed and shared in order to live more fully. Together, we can chart the roadmap to unburden these wounds and get you on the path that you’ve been waiting for.

While sessions include traditional talk therapy, the integration of somatic (body) based practices is prevalent.
Therapy, and life, are non-linear. In our work together you are welcomed to feel - to feel deeply, express, process, and with time move through your emotions. If you are living in a state of overwhelm, are struggling through transitions, or are feeling disconnected from your body, know that you are not alone. In our work together, we can explore where you are, what is impacting your mood, and how to create meaningful and lasting change. Whether you are dealing with recent challenges or want to process and find relief from older patterns, I will hold a supportive and compassionate space for growth, understanding and self-development.

As a Somatic Therapist, I believe it is essential to work with the mind-body connection in the therapy process so that healing can happen not just by making sense of things in our mind but in our body, where memories are stored.
Do you feel uneasy, tense, or unsafe in your own body? Trapped by your own thoughts and emotions, or a nagging feeling or muscular tension that seem unrelated to your emotional state? I know that feeling; that sensation that we try to ignore but just won’t go away. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, the stress of everyday life or the aftermath of trauma, your body is the container that holds it all—thoughts, feelings, sensations—all our lived experiences that make us who we are. Some of these experiences can help us thrive, feel safe and connected and some can make us feel stuck, uncertain, and reactive.

I am trained in EMDR, somatic approaches, & utilize harm reduction & motivational enhancement as well.
You have taken a courageous step in seeking therapy. It is not always easy to talk about how you feel, what you've been through or what you want. Some experiences are beyond words. I see my clients as individuals who have the brilliant capacity to heal and connect with their innate self-worth. I create a warm and comforting space where you will feel seen and heard. My approach is interactive and incorporates an intersectional trauma lens. Together we will look at how your experiences, identities and relationships have impacted where you are now, and incorporate body awareness & other strategies to heal.

Having specialties in Trauma Based Therapy, CBT, Somatic CBT, and EMDR, I am well equipped to assist in discovering and redefining trauma as to create an atmosphere for healing.
You may have said: What direction am I headed? Am I happy? Am I the best version of Me? Did I loose track of my goals? Am I feeling confused and lost? Looking at, the old saying of: “when life gives you lemons make lemonade,” is all good in theory, but how about if you don’t know how to make lemonade or even worse, you don’t even like lemonade. Sometimes on this journey called life, we don’t know which road to follow or cannot even see the road ahead. Help me, help you, in facing the obstacles of life that appear overwhelming or difficult. You do not have to face them alone, allow me to be present and offer you valuable life tools

I am training in Somatic Experiencing and will integrate this modality as an opportunity to explore helping you to embodying emotional experiences.
I am honored to join you in this therapeutic journey, and as we ask some of life's hardest questions together, I will continue to remind you that you are not alone in your curiosity or confusion. My therapeutic style is rooted in affirming and compassionate care, which centers the idea that YOU define your identities, and YOU are the expert on your own life. Together, we can build a strong and trusting alliance, where the therapeutic relationship itself is an avenue towards growth and healing. To this end, I value a relational style of psychotherapy where we will dive into the relationships in your life, both past and present.

I’m a Clinical Social Worker who takes in integrative approach in therapy using both psychodynamic and somatic approaches.
Healing and movement towards well-being can sometimes feel like a long difficult process. I’ve been fortunate to work with and support many individuals through this process and I’m always grateful to have been given the opportunity to join them on their journeys. Through developing skills to cope with current struggles and moving through past distressing or traumatic experiences that feel like they might be preventing you from moving towards your own path of wellbeing, we can collaborate to make movement forward toward your healing.

I am certified in Somatic Experiencing (SE), CI (Compassionate Inquiry), EMDR, Ketamine-Assisted Therapy provider (Polaris Institute), and have training in Psychedelic Integration Therapy (PIT) and MDMA-assisted therapy from Fluence and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS).
My work is driven by the strong personal and professional belief in our capacity for inner strength and resilience. People can grow and transcend most any wound with the right support from others. Every person has the ability to heal, make connections, and deserves healthy relationships. While the benefits of counseling can last for years, it shouldn't take years before experiencing the benefits. By using evidence based practices, significant change can happen rather quickly, in weeks and months.

My training includes Somatic Experiencing for Trauma Resolution, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Inner Relationship Focusing, Clinical Hypnosis, Insight Oriented and Strength Based Therapies.
Psychotherapy is a powerful and efficacious tool for self-care and deep healing. It can be liberating, though sometimes challenging and uncomfortable. However, I trust and know that deep inside each of us is an innate part that yearns for love, safety and authenticity – essential components for building and sustaining a meaningful, fulfilling life. As a seasoned psychotherapist with over 20 years in practice, I believe in the work I do because I have done this work myself. I also strongly believe that we have the capacity to become who and what we want to be, no matter what our historical and current life circumstances.

In addition to this relational way of practicing, I sprinkle in behavioral, somatic/body-based, and solution-focused interventions throughout our sessions to bolster your daily toolkit in order to reduce the severity of your symptoms, augment your sense of self-esteem, and enhance your ability to experience and regulate your emotions.
I approach therapy with curiosity, connection, insight, compassion, and a splash of humor. I aim to create an environment where you can feel safe to explore, discover and embrace your truest and highest self. I believe an essential task of therapy is to foster reflection in order to develop self-awareness, leading to a greater ability to effectively navigate and cope with life. I primarily practice through a relational and attachment-based psychodynamic lens. I believe that the relationship dynamics you have with yourself, others, and the world are the primary factors in both emotional well-being and emotional distress.
