I work with adults from diverse and often bicultural backgrounds who are navigating personal challenges—whether within themselves, their families, or relationships. Balancing your needs with the expectations of loved ones and cultural norms can be overwhelming. It may lead to anxiety, isolation, or depression. At times, it’s easy to lose sight of who you are. Therapy offers a supportive space to explore these feelings and reconnect with yourself. While family and friends may have strong opinions, therapy centers your voice. I’m here to listen, support, and help you build tools to move toward your goals—on your terms.

A satisfying life requires a balance between how much attention we pay to the external world (work, relationships, etc.) and the extent to which we attend to our internal, emotional world. This can be challenging because our culture favors focusing on external stimulus (relationship status, satisfying societal expectations, getting a job promotion, comparing our lives to Instagram highlight reels) over our vast internal worlds. It’s almost by design that we spend so much time focusing outside ourselves!

I provide therapy in English, Bengali, and Hindi, and I have intermediate proficiency in Punjabi and Gujarati.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, identity questions, acculturative stress, life transitions, and interpersonal challenges. I often work with immigrants, first generation individuals, international students, or those carrying intergenerational stress. I strive to make a safe, collaborative space aimed to explore all that is weighing on you, make sense of patterns that no longer serve you, and build practical tools to foster resilience and overall wellness. I believe balancing individualism with the valuable aspects of collectivism and community is essential to combat the loneliness epidemic.

Life doesn't always unfold as planned. Sometimes we lose ourselves in relationships, face unexpected transitions, or carry wounds that quietly shape how we move through the world. I know this intimately-not just as a therapist, but as someone who has lived it. As a therapist of color with South Asian roots and nearly two decades of experience across three continents, I work with high achievers and global citizens navigating trauma, grief, complex relational and career transitions, and living between cultures-those seeking to develop deeper self-awareness, heal past pain, and find meaning beyond external success.

I specialize in working with adults who have learned to survive through achievement, perfectionism, or staying small; people who look like they’re doing fine on the outside, but feel anxious, disconnected, or exhausted inside. As a therapist and a former educator, my work is grounded in curiosity, clarity, and care. We don’t just talk about what’s hard; we work on it together in real time — building awareness, new habits, and emotional safety that lasts. My practice integrates AEDP and IFS with an Anti Oppression lens.

I believe in the holistic nature of change. Thus viewed, change isn't initiated simply by thinking healthy thoughts. These healthy thoughts need to be complemented by healthy emotions in order for us to experience the motivation to change. Very often, we are disconnected from the emotions we experience in certain situations because those emotions haven’t been respected or acknowledged within our past relationships. Consequently, we become estranged from the parts of ourselves which those emotions represent. Through the therapeutic process we may reconnect with those neglected parts of ourselves so we may feel whole again.
