Don't let conflicts and stress drain your energy and cause unnecessary pain. Let therapy give you an opportunity to explore your feelings and concerns in an objective and non-judgmental environment. Slowing down to process emotions allows you to discover new options and make better decisions.

Are you looking to make a change? Would you like to reach your goals and dreams? I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's Degree from Fordham University. Over the last 18 years, I have had the pleasure to work with a diverse group of clients. In my work I apply an integrative approach to treatment, combining talk therapy, hypnosis, meditation, and energy psychology. You will have the chance to learn coping skills, such as self-hypnosis, which will help you change problematic patterns of behavior. You will also learn stress reduction techniques and useful strategies to improve your life.

Uncomfortable symptoms exist for a reason. We can take medication to make them go away for a while. Alternatively, we can take the time and make the effort to listen to ourselves and work, with the help of a trained ear, to decipher what our symptoms reveal about what is not going well in our lives. As a psychoanalyst, I engage with my patients directly and know that their work is not done alone. Our work can be diverse in nature: it can focus on a very precise conflict; it can be about the desire to overcome a difficult experience or a painful past; it can mean learning about oneself or receiving support to move forward.

My thirty-five years of psychoanalytic experience have given me the perspective that people are seeking happiness, meaning, and a sense of accomplishment. However, unresolved conflicts originating in the past and perpetuated in the present prevent us from fulfilling these objectives. My therapeutic intent is to assist you in reaching your personal or relationship goals with more effective ways of engaging. I approach this through an interaction between us that will bring out the significance of your conflicts and a clearer understanding of your life experiences. I provide emotional support without criticizing, demeaning, or finding fault.

Life can be full of surprises, with many unexpected ups and downs. Sometimes relationships, careers, and life in general, do not unfold as expected. With the imposition of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, isolation, anxiety and depressed mood can more readily occur, so mental health services are needed now more than ever.

I see cancer patients and their families across the cancer continuum, from diagnosis, treatment, to survivorship or recurrence and end of life. I am passionate about working with this patient group. Diagnosis and treatment of cancer is a major life stress. Cancer care today provides state of the art biomedical treatment but fails to address the psychological problems associated with the illness. Patients need support coping with a wide range of distressing emotions such as anxiety, depression and confusion. In today's managed care environment, busy outpatient clinics make it difficult for oncologists to provide psychosocial support for their patients.

I firmly believe that everyone needs a safe and comfortable space to be fully seen and heard, especially during periods of distress, life changes, and other significant events in our lives. Psychotherapy is the process of exploring our experiences, reflecting on our thoughts and emotions, connecting the past to the present, and developing new insights about ourselves and our development. We will be collaborative in the process where I will attune to your emotions and needs as well as facilitate your self-exploration with my knowledge and experiences.

Therapy can be the turning point in your life—allowing you to confront your challenges and unconscious habits in order to more mindfully choose your behaviors, relationships, and life path. As a psychotherapist, I work to help my clients find fulfillment, serenity, confidence, and true happiness. I accompany individuals and couples through a process of examining who they are, how they came to be, and where they ultimately want to go. I collaborate with clients to heal issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, and trauma.

Cigna and Evernorth Therapists
Cigna and its healthcare division Evernorth provide behavioral health coverage though managed care plans and Medicare Advantage plans. Outside the U.S., Cigna provides insurance through Cigna Global Health Benefits.

Cigna and Evernorth HMO plans only cover services from in-network providers and require a referral from your primary care physician. EPO plans also utilize in-network providers but generally do not require a PCP referral. PPO plans offer the most flexibility and a larger network of providers, and may include some out of network benefits.

Occasionally Cigna or Evernorth Therapists in New York will only accept a limited number of in-network insurance patients in their practice, so it's important to check if your plan is accepted when you book a consultation.

Based in Connecticut, Cigna insures 180 million people in more than 30 countries around the world. Cigna rebraded its health services division as Evernorth in September 2021.
