I believe our unique identities and lived experiences inform our inner landscapes. Difficult emotions you may be feeling are often signals that highlight the parts of ourselves longing for connection, understanding, and attention. Together we will listen to these signals, build a safe haven for exploration, and create space for self-expression, openness, and growth. There’s a deep comfort that develops when we feel safe and supported; and this experience can be healing and transformative. Centering warmth and empathy, I embrace a collaborative, person-centered approach, while utilizing practical tools to best suit your needs.

I have over 20 years of psychoanalytic and psychotherapeutic experience in helping individuals and couples improve self-esteem, relationship, and work-related issues that lead to personal change. If you are battling anxiety, depression, or simply overwhelmed, helping you spell out what you feel can make a huge difference. Sometimes the words to describe your feelings are not there. Just finding a way to express what you feel and want can be restorative. I can help you find the words to articulate your needs, clarify your dilemmas, and, in so doing, clear the roadblocks that get in the way of reaching your full potential.

I've been a therapist for over 25 years, and provide a compassionate environment in which we explore your struggles. I am very interactive and flexible, and often focus on helping you get in touch with your inner feelings and build self esteem. When do we seek therapy? when we feel overwhelmed, depressed, stressed, anxious, stagnated, confused, challenged, lonely...when we are unhappy. Simple like that. And what are some therapy expectations that we have? To stop feeling overwhelmed, depressed, stressed, anxious, stagnated etc..,to stop being unhappy.  I have good news for you! This is attainable. Yes, you can stop being unhappy. However, do you want to be happy? Silly question I know. But tell me please, after all this negativity that you experience do you have the expectation to be happy?Let me answer, most of the people say “no".

For me, being a therapist means being a collaborative partner with clients. My primary goal is to establish genuine relationships with others in order to undo aloneness and create safety. I aim to join people as they explore, navigate, and make meaning of the challenges and joys that they experience. Throughout this journey, I support them in discovering their most authentic selves by facilitating connection to their core emotions. I enjoy working with clients across the lifespan, and connect well with those who are feeling stuck in symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship/familial conflict, and identity formation.

Emotionally Focused Therapists
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an approach to therapy that helps clients identify their emotions, learn to explore and experience them, to understand them and then to manage them. Emotionally Focused Therapy embraces the idea that emotions can be changed, first by arriving at or 'living' the maladaptive emotion (e.g. loss, fear or shame) in session, and then learning to transform it. Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples seeks to break the negative emotion cycles within relationships, emphasizing the importance of the attachment bond between couples, and how nurturing of the attachment bonds and an empathetic understanding of each others emotions can break the cycles.
