As a trauma therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I help humans increase their bodily awareness about who they are, why they do the things they do, and who they would like to become. Having trained in Sex Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, EMDR, Art therapy, and Inner Relationship Focusing, I integrate these approaches in the gestalt. I work with people who experience difficulty accessing, connecting with, and verbalizing their feelings, as well as those with low self-esteem within their relationships.

People don’t come into therapy because they are feeling calm, and happy. They come into therapy at the point when they cannot find a way to help themselves. Many can see they have self defeating patterns of behavior and make bad choices but they do not know how to stop. In my practice I work with creatives frustrated at how difficult it is for them to fulfill their dreams as well as people who have good jobs that do not make them happy. Some have relationships problems or feel alone. I help people develop insight into the roots of their problems and then encourage them to move forward. Believing you have agency diminishes anxiety.

.............Ancient wisdom meets modern psychotherapy!............. A three-step process to a successful therapy: .............................. 1. Uncovering hidden psychological problems & conflicts, self-defeating masochistic tendencies. 2. Resolution of conflicts through non-dualistic & Kabbalah meditations - changing 'minus' into 'plus'. 3. Kabbalah is seen as a path of spiritual rectification and elevation.

When problems or distress arise, we naturally seek out someone to speak with. An effective listener helps go beyond the everyday habit of taking what we have to say for granted, realizing it’s true power and profundity, and a world of difference opens up. With this in mind, perhaps the idea of “talk therapy” becomes a bit more understandable.

As a licensed and skilled family therapist, I offer services to individuals, couples, teens, children, and families. Based on my education, training, and life experiences I believe that the individual can be better understood through the context of their relationships (family, romantic, etc.). I believe it is more important to understand the meaning of emotions, versus whether they are right or wrong to feel.
