It can be hard to find a therapist who you don’t need to teach or explain portions of your existence to. As a Queer and Trans identified person, I am acutely aware of the need for more LGBTQ-affirmative mental healthcare where all of you is honored. I understand that sometimes what on the surface appears to be a mental health concern may be better explained by systemic oppression and societal influence. I use a strengths based and intersectional approach, always taking into consideration who you are.

I'm a proud queer/pan/poly human, and I absolutely love being a therapist. As a straight-passing queer person, I have a lived understanding of what it’s like to have multiple marginalized identities that are misread both in and outside my communities. As a single parent who was raised in a very religious environment, I have done a lot of my own introspection and exploration to become the sex positive and body positive person I am today. I am a compassionate, non-judgmental, and empowerment-focused therapist. I aim to support you in living freely and authentically, as you thrive in your relationships with yourself and others.

We are at our healthiest when we feel connected in validating relationships based on trust and authenticity; this is the starting point of any therapeutic alliance. Many of us struggle with overwhelming emotions in isolation and find it difficult to cope with the enormity of how these emotions impact our lives. Often times, fear inhibits us from reaching out to explore what has us feeling stuck in the first place. However, avoiding the emotion manifests into depression and anxiety. If provided with the proper space to be heard, within each of us is in innate capacity to heal and grow in our lives.

I provide therapy to individuals, couples/intimate partners, and families of all kinds, with a focus on alternative sexualities and lifestyles. I am affirming of LGBTQ/queer identities, kink and D/S lifestyle relationships, sex work, and polyamory/consensual non-monogamy. As a feminist transman, my work is informed by intersectionality and motivated by personal experience with the communities I serve. ​

Hi, my name is Nicholas. I’m a Latinx, Middle Eastern, Jewish, and queer Psychotherapist. My multicultural upbringing, experiences with immigration, and being from a low-income household have inspired me to help people who experience systematic violence because of how they identify. I provide a supportive, authentic space where we can dive into root causes of problems, and utilize social justice and trauma-informed approaches. I’ve worked with people of all ages in English and Spanish on issues surrounding their LGBTQ+ identities, substance use, violence, abuse, complex diagnoses, forced migration, and family systems.

My clients are adults of all genders and sexual orientation. Sex positive , I am knowledgeable and familiar with LGBTQAI issues as well as non-heteronormative sexuality, including kink , BDSM, polyamory, and fetishes. I have expertise and specialized training in treating alcohol and substance use disorders, sexual compulsivity, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. I utilize a varied range of treatment modalities, including EMDR. I have worked in the field for 15 years and I'm a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. I worked with the Fire Department of New York Counseling Service Unit, where I started the day before 9/11.

In both individual and couples therapy, I use mindfulness and embodiment to help you build awareness of your own wants, needs, emotions, and desires, creating a foundation for clear communication, intimacy, and understanding.
