I have successfully helped individuals with depression , anxiety, panic attacks, stress, anger, self-esteem and confidence issues, trauma, communication, problematic relationships, life transitions, spiritual issues, grief, loss, and acculturation difficulties.
Having a good life is not a spontaneous happening, but a conscious exercise of free will, directed toward a game, that raises the level of joy and fulfillment. Thoughts, attitudes, behaviors and belief system have a huge impact on our well-being. I draw from best of modern contemporary approaches to psychotherapy that guide and inspire a transformative experience reorienting self toward sustainable wellness: Positive Psychology, IFS, IFIO, EMDR, SE, Mindfulness, CBT, Clinical Hypnosis, NLP, and creativity/imagination. A mind-body-soul approach that blends science & the wisdom of healing traditions.

During these difficult times nerves are often frayed and relationships can get testy. As old wounds and past traumas get stirred up, anxiety and depression might resurface. I work with LGBT and straight individuals and couples, striving to help people feel comfortable expressing their feelings and asserting their needs. I have advanced training in trauma, adoption, gay/lesbian and couple's therapy. I also have expertise treating the impact of parental divorce, substance abuse and immigration on adult-child relationships. An important goal is for you to gain more control of your issues and feel more confident in your decisions.

Trying to manage life is a never-ending journey. With what life throws at us like heartache, loss, and overwhelming moments that become trying. With us not knowing which directions to take and feeling all feelings at once we can end in areas of anxiety, depression and negative behavior patterns. In times we face adversity, we tend to already have a solution but have a hard time with the steps and changes needed to get there.

I support individuals struggling with depression , anxiety, trauma, and big life transitions. I specialize in working with people in their 20s and 30s who are trying to figure out who they want to be in the world. This time can bring big decisions regarding career, relationship, and family. Often called a quarter-life crisis, it is often hard for us to maintain that strength amid uncertainty, self-doubt, and fear. I help clients experiencing a quarter-life crisis to explore problem areas and harness their inner strength and resilience.

I work with adults and children on a wide range of clinical issues, including depression , anxiety, emotion dysregulation, interpersonal conflicts, and acculturation adjustment.
Life can be difficult at times. A person could feel "dissatisfied with life," "unhappy," or "unfulfilled," despite all the efforts. Collaborating with a skilled psychotherapist could help a person identify and break the maladaptive patterns, make positive changes in life, and experience more happiness and freedom. I am a bilingual (Chinese & English) psychologist with over 18 years of training and experience. I adopt an integrative and holistic style, blending elements of Psychodynamic, Interpersonal, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and existential approaches through the lens of culture.

Do you lack self-confidence? Achieving greater self-confidence can lead to immense improvement in every area of one's life. Depression and/or anxiety can develop as a result of low self-confidence, often stemming from early childhood experiences. I have substantial training and experience in helping patients to understand themselves better and to receive the support that has been lacking in their lives. I completed extensive postgraduate training in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. Call me to set up your free consultation. I look forward to seeing you.

I offer an active, supportive and solution oriented approach to a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression , relationship conflicts and school or work-related problems.
I view therapy as a collaborative effort to understand problems and conflicts, identify realistic goals and take advantage of strengths and strategies that promote change. While the focus is often on current issues, understanding the influence of past experiences and relationships is an important part of the process. I have many years of experience working with individuals and couples of all ages and genders, including college students, recent graduates, faculty members and people involved in business and the arts. I often work with people in transition on issues related to work, relationships and the impact of change or loss.

I have a great deal of experence working with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression , trauma, relationship conflicts, and school/work related issues.
We all want to be at our best selves mentally and emotionally, but there are times in life when we get stuck and can’t do it ourselves. We may feel anxious and depressed , or don’t quite know what is bothering us. I have found in my many years of experience, that in an atmosphere of safety, warmth, humor and nonjudgmental support, people can work through their issues and lead happier lives.

I am a therapist with 7 years of clinical experience focusing on Anxiety, Depression , and Relationship Issues.
You are a unique, inherently worthy and capable human. Therapy is often a space to reawaken that awareness, to strengthen it when storms crash around it, and to recover and celebrate when you do. I am there to support you, which will range from listening with compassion, re-direction, and crisis intervention. Navigating emotions is an ongoing work that, with the right tools, can become easier and singularly satisfying.

I provide individual, marriage and couples, and parenting counseling; anxiety, depression , trauma, and substance misuse treatment; and job & career support.
Burdening friends with your troubles drains your friends and leaves your problems intact, because friends aren't qualified to deal with your underlying issues. Through a warm and caring connection, I'll guide you as we explore issues that interfere with satisfaction in love, work, and play. So, if you're dealing with a difficult boss or the challenges of parenting, trying to start a relationship or moving on after a breakup, mourning a loss or experiencing a creative block, call me for reality-based therapy to help you find the joy in everyday life.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
