I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, including individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and challenges related to alcohol and substance use.
Reaching out for help isn’t always easy, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Whether you’re struggling with feelings of anxiety or depression, dealing with the effects of past or recent trauma, facing behavioral challenges, finding yourself relying on alcohol or other substances, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to help. In therapy, my goal is to create a warm and welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. My approach is compassionate, direct, collaborative, and judgment-free. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience, even when life feels overwhelming.

It’s time consuming to sort through profiles; and for that I am so glad you’ve found your way here. I can be there to support you where you’re at right now. Therapy can feel overwhelming; maybe you've asked- where do I start? That is super common! Therapy is more than talking; it’s a safe, healing space filled with both laughter and tears. It’s all welcome and part of the process. I work well with individuals who overwhelmed by their anxious or depressive symptoms, ADHD, or navigating conflict. Are you struggling looking for that feeling of relief on your own? Are you exhausted by overthinking? I understand and I am here for you.

You’re the one everyone else can depend on, but when it comes to your own needs you feel too exhausted to follow through. You're over-functioning, constantly self-criticizing, and feeling like you “should” be able to handle everything, even as your anxiety, burnout, and body start to protest. You're trying to do so much that you end up feeling like you're doing nothing at all. l help you slow down, reconnect to yourself, and learn the skills to show up for your own life in a way that feels sustainable instead of exhausting.

Life can be difficult. There’s no denying this. And, at times, life can seem even more difficult. Have you been feeling sad, stressed, worried, confused, frustrated, angry, or at a bit of a loss? Perhaps you’ve experienced, or are facing, a transition in life (e.g., a break-up, divorce, loss of a loved one, medical challenge, retirement, engagement, marriage, etc.) that is leaving you feeling any number of ways. Or maybe you're feeling a certain way and don't know why. If so, you're likely looking to find some peace, clarity, understanding, and support so you can live a happier, healthier, and more authentic life.

You might be struggling right now, maybe having thoughts like "I’m a burden" or "I don’t want to do this anymore." Maybe people expected you to have your life together or take care of others but your needs were set aside and now you don't know how to put yourself first or take care of yourself without feeling guilty. You're feeling hurt and worried that if you allow yourself to be vulnerable that you'll be rejected again and proven right to not have opened up in the first place. You don't have to build those walls up forever, you can learn to trust again even if right now you don't know where to begin or how.

Couples facing affairs, broken trust, constant fights, poor communication, emotional distance, intimacy struggles, money stress, parenting conflicts, or even divorce often feel lost and painfully alone. Many arrive drained from endless arguments without resolution, nights spent as strangers, silent resentment over finances or daily chores, and the deep ache of feeling unseen and misunderstood. Over time, love can feel replaced by distance, mistrust, and conflict, leaving partners questioning whether repair and closeness are still possible

I have several years of clinical experience in the fields of psychotherapy and social work helping children, teens, adults, and families.
Life can be hard but it can also be beautiful. I utilize a compassionate and integrative approach to psychotherapy. I seek to help clients generate positive change in their lives and am a believer in the mind-body connection, the power of our thoughts and narratives, and that our environment and life experiences greatly impact our lives. I believe that through developing self-awareness and insight we can better understand who we are and what holds us back. I integrate modalities that include our somatic experience, the acceptance/change dialectic, and use a combination of both psychodynamic theory and skills-based behavior therapy.

Children, teens, and young adults experience life in unique ways and often don’t yet have the words to explain what they’re feeling.
In our work together, I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you'll feel truly understood while building practical skills that support long-term emotional well-being and confidence. For younger clients, I view parent involvement an important part of the therapeutic process. I'll provide guidance, education and tools that support their child.

I work with adolescents, adults, and couples, and have experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, body image and self-esteem struggles, and other everyday challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected.
I understand how difficult it can be to take that first step in starting therapy. Whether you're feeling anxious, questioning your relationships, struggling with self-esteem, or finding yourself stuck in the same patterns, therapy can be a place to better understand yourself and create meaningful change.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
