I'm currently in training for both Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems.
Hey there, I'm happy you're here! I focus my work on helping women navigate the landscapes of emerging adulthood. Emerging adulthood is the part of life when you go, “Wait... who am I and what am I doing?” This time in life can be totally confusing and daunting: managing friendships, relationships, work, family, future planning, and city life, all while trying to figure out who the heck you are. Take a breath– you don’t have to do it alone.

I am an integrative psychotherapist who incorporates, somatic therapy, hypnotherapy, mindfulness and in some cases ketamine assisted psychotherapy.
Clients who come to me often understand or guess at the "why" of their behavioral patterns, depression or anxiety, yet feel stuck and crave breakthroughs. In those cases, I sometimes recommend addressing blocks or underlying traumas identified using EMDR, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy or Hypnosis work to enhance their treatment.

Hi! I'm glad you're here! It takes courage to reach out for support, and you’ve already taken an important first step. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by past trauma, or caught in the stress of high-conflict relationships with family, partners, or co-parents. Others are navigating the challenges of disability—whether their own or a loved one’s—and want a therapist who truly understands and affirms their experience.

I take a creative and active approach to therapy, informed by narrative, somatic (of the body), and mindful strategies.
Life sometimes throws us out of alignment. Though we may have gotten good at toughing it out, we can also find ourselves feeling burnt out, unsure of our next step, how to move forward, or how to feel better. We sometimes we need support or help in the process. Coping with the impacts of family dynamics, life changes, and societal structures that are not supportive of our well-being can be difficult on our own.

Through deep inquiry, executive coaching, and somatic work, we explore how perfectionism, people pleasing, conflict avoidance, or overfunctioning may have once been brilliant strategies that no longer fit the life you want to live.
You are thoughtful, ambitious, and deeply values driven, yet imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and perfectionism keep whispering that you are not enough or maybe too much. Ugh. Maybe you spend too much time worrying what other people think or measuring yourself against impossible standards. You may look successful on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, burnout, people pleasing, or a harsh inner critic. Like many of my clients, you may be exhausted from succeeding while feeling disconnected from yourself. Perhaps you are questioning what comes next or why success does not feel the way you thought it would.

What my clients share in common isn't a specific diagnosis or life stage, it's a willingness to be honest, even when it's uncomfortable, and a sense that they're ready for something to be different. Some have been in therapy before and want to go deeper; others are completely new to it and just know they can't keep doing things the same way. I work with individuals and couples navigating trauma, relationship difficulties, and the quieter, harder-to-name feeling of wanting more from your life, fulfillment.

There are moments in life when turbulence happens. Major life transitions, such as becoming a parent, leaving home as a young adult, or divorce, are events that may cause you to reconsider your values and set new goals. Events that happen as we age , such as health concerns and loss, offer chances to re-adjust priorities.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
