I view psychotherapy as a way to reach intellectual, emotional, and spiritual balance. I combine psychoanalytic understanding with mind-body techniques. I focus on uncovering patterns and barriers that prevent you from reaching your potential and become your true self. Psychotherapy is a process that allows us to gain insight into better understanding of yourself and others, to learn new, more constructive ways of dealing with difficulties, and more enjoyable ways of relating to others and yourself. It is a way to uncover clarity of our past, present, and future, which can lead to wisdom of oneself, life, and the peace of mind.

Are you hesitant to start therapy because you think you should be 'strong enough' to manage your life on your own? Do you feel the pressure to 'do it all' and be happy? You are not weak for wanting support. You are human! It takes strength to recognize when something isn’t working in your life. I provide therapy to adults who are anxious with feelings of overwhelm, loneliness, detachment, or confusion. These feelings may exist because of every day stress, careers, being a new parent, parenting in general, navigating fertility and reproductive journeys, current dating trends, and other areas.

I hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification and bring years of experience working in a hospital NICU.
My work with men focuses on addressing fatherhood, relationship challenges, divorce, career shifts, disconnection, anxiety, and anger. Many carry the pressure to hold everything together without a space to talk about what’s really going on. Our time together can be a place to unload, speak freely, and start showing up in your life the way you want to.

Whether you’re navigating pregnancy, postpartum, the challenges of motherhood, young adulthood, trauma, or another difficult season of life, you don’t have to carry it alone.
Healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship. My clients often tell me that therapy becomes a place where they can finally put down what they’ve been carrying, speak openly about their struggles, and trust that those experiences will be met with compassion, steadiness, and care.

I support individuals and families navigating Autism, prenatal and postpartum experiences, and infertility.
Do you feel overwhelmed or disconnected from your body, even when you “know” what you should be feeling? Are your emotions hard to put into words — or do they show up first as tension, anxiety, exhaustion, or shutdown? Are you navigating a major life transition, like new motherhood, and wondering why things feel harder than you expected? As a millennial therapist, my style is grounded, relational, and real. I value warmth, authenticity, and collaboration, and I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood — not analyzed or rushed. I bring structure when it’s helpful and flexibility when it's needed.

At times, life can feel like one big transition. Right when you overcome one challenge, another always seems to pops up. It can feel overwhelming to handle it all, whether you are a stay at home mom in the throughs of toddlerhood or a homeschool mom trying to navigate health challenges for your family members or a career driven mom trying to balance it all. The one thing I’ve learned over the years is that if you aren’t taking care of yourself physically (your health), spiritually (having a faith practice), and relationally (making time for in person connections), life can feel a whole lot more challenging than it should.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
