I utilize EMDR, Flash Technique, and Havening.
I view psychotherapy as a way to reach intellectual, emotional, and spiritual balance. I combine psychoanalytic understanding with mind-body techniques. I focus on uncovering patterns and barriers that prevent you from reaching your potential and become your true self. Psychotherapy is a process that allows us to gain insight into better understanding of yourself and others, to learn new, more constructive ways of dealing with difficulties, and more enjoyable ways of relating to others and yourself. It is a way to uncover clarity of our past, present, and future, which can lead to wisdom of oneself, life, and the peace of mind.

I work with adults who feel stuck in patterns in relationships, self-worth, and emotional regulation. Many of my clients carry the impact of developmental trauma rooted in early attachment and family-of-origin experiences. I am trained in the work of Pia Mellody and use a relational, trauma-informed approach to help clients understand and shift these patterns. Integrating EMDR, somatic, and parts-based work—and offering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) when appropriate—I support deeper healing and lasting change in a warm, collaborative space.

The addition of hypnotherapy, EMDR, or energetic healing with Reiki, if desired, helps the client access inner resources for self-calming, restoration and clarity.
Even when we have received the ideal nurturing, secure, validating childhood, which can help us to negotiate complexities and challenges we may face later in life, our inner resources can become depleted. The capacity to find joy and comfort may elude us. Rebalancing areas of outer life, and planning steps toward change may be in order. I make time to learn about the myriad ways that using art, energetic, somatic and stress reducing therapies can help each person who comes in, to restore their inner lives as well.

I use EMDR and IFS — two of the most effective trauma treatments available — in both weekly therapy and EMDR Intensives, which are extended sessions designed to create real progress without waiting months to feel it.
You know something is wrong, but you can't quite name it. You're holding it together on the outside — showing up for work, for your kids, for everyone who needs you — but inside, you're exhausted. Maybe something happened that you haven't fully dealt with. Maybe anxiety has been running the show for so long it just feels like your personality. You've tried to figure it out on your own. Maybe you've even tried therapy before. But you're still here, still stuck, and part of you is wondering if anything is actually going to change. It can. And you don't have to keep doing this alone.

As a seasoned clinician I am certified and trained in EMDR, Gestalt Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, and IFS informed EMDR - the treatments most effective for addressing the impact of trauma and its legacy.
As a complex trauma therapist, I help individuals move through some of the most difficult moments in their lives - the strong emotional tides and automatic responses that are often inherent to unexpected life changes, or past traumatic experiences. Our everyday responses to stress - anxiety, anger, irritability, bouts of depression, or fatigue and the effectiveness of our ability to cope with current stressors are often related to painful past experiences, some recent and some from long ago. My practice is dedicated to offering individuals the supports necessary to navigate through pain from our past to a place of resiliency.

I listen empathically to help my patients develop self-compassion and awareness so they can develop acceptance and create change. I see my role as listener, supporter, and guide into the internal world. My job is to thoughtfully explore with you, this unknown terrain and come to know the resources, resiliency, and best self that already exists. I also believe that life is not all rainbows and unicorns. There are many up and downs. The question is how we get through them. We must explore all aspects of life to fully engage and fulfill our greatest potentials.

Hi — I’m Elizabeth, a licensed therapist specializing in Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT) and EMDR for people who feel “stuck in their body,” overwhelmed by stress, or carrying emotional pain that hasn’t fully healed through talk therapy alone.
Do you feel overwhelmed or disconnected from your body, even when you “know” what you should be feeling? Are your emotions hard to put into words — or do they show up first as tension, anxiety, exhaustion, or shutdown? Are you navigating a major life transition, like new motherhood, and wondering why things feel harder than you expected? As a millennial therapist, my style is grounded, relational, and real. I value warmth, authenticity, and collaboration, and I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood — not analyzed or rushed. I bring structure when it’s helpful and flexibility when it's needed.

I integrate evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy ( EMDR), parts work, and creative arts therapy.
I work with deeply feeling women who've lost themselves in achieving, caretaking, and holding it all together. You feel deeply. You give generously. You hold everything together — and somewhere in all of that, you lost yourself. Maybe it shows up as anxiety and overthinking. An inner critic that's never satisfied. Saying yes when every part of you means no. Relationships that leave you drained. A quiet sense that you've lost track of what you actually want. I help people find their way back to themselves — using psychodynamic and integrative therapy to create awareness and changes beneath the surface, not just manage symptoms.

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
