I became a therapist after entering therapy myself at age 22. I understand how important it is to have someone to talk with when things get difficult. Many people come in not knowing what to expect and can have some anxiety regarding opening up about themselves. We will go at the pace you are comfortable with, respecting your boundaries and setting goals for treatment. My specialty areas are trauma including military and combat trauma, ADD, substance misuse, depression and anxiety.

If you struggle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, or feeling unsure of yourself in relationships, you’re not alone. Many thoughtful, sensitive adults learned early on to read the room, anticipate others’ needs, or quiet parts of themselves to stay connected. Over time, these patterns can make it hard to trust your instincts, set healthy boundaries, feel confident in your choices, or even know what you really want. Therapy offers a space to explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion so you can begin to feel grounded, confident, and at home in yourself.

Feeling stuck, burnt out, or like you're carrying more than you can name? I work with professionals, artists, performers, and students moving through exactly that kind of terrain like career pressure, creative identity, life transitions, existential unease, etc. My style is relational and exploratory. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Every alliance takes its own shape, and that's where the real work happens!

I specialize in working with high-achievers looking for a "break," frustrated as they often have no idea where to start when it comes to cultivating rest and recovery efficiently into their day to day life. Often the how and why are obscured by ineffective patterns in relating to others, to work, and to themselves. My approach combines aspects of therapy and coaching, to transform insight into practice.

It’s said that recovery is an inside job. We begin by distancing ourselves from the destructive forces that are bent on killing us—if you understand what I’m talking about you’re in the right place. Once addiction loses its grip on us we gain the freedom to access our own inner wisdom and let life’s challenges become our teachers. Free from the influence of mood and mind altering substances we become empowered to make choices not based on the immediate need to escape our emotions, but rather aligned with our deepest desires for ourselves. Through this process you can begin to re-write the narrative of your past.

I believe that the changes that occur through therapy are linked to the relationship between client and therapist and the client's development of insight. People come to therapy feeling unsure and insecure, repeating the same frustrating patterns again and again without the outcomes they hope for. We will work together to help you move out of unhealthy cycles that are no longer serving you. I have trained in and utilize multiple approaches, but primarily draw from Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

Currently accepting new clients! You may look like you are doing fine on the outside but feel anxious, frustrated, or unsettled on the inside. Many of the people I work with feel stuck repeating the same relationship patterns, overthinking their choices, or losing themselves while trying to keep others comfortable. My work focuses on slowing things down, understanding what is really happening beneath the surface, and helping you make changes that feel possible rather than overwhelming.

Without clarity, it can feel hard to know how to move forward, especially if there’s a relentless inner critic at play, or if insecure attachment, codependency or self-sabotage are part of your story.
I help you nurture a deep connection to self, as well as a new relationship with thoughts, emotions and body sensations. You develop insight and skills to cultivate choice in how you respond, opening to more ease and freedom. With warmth and empathy, we explore relationships, self-love and attachment, often returning to the heart, which always knows the way.

I've been privileged to work with individuals and couples seeking support for issues around intimacy and relationships, codependency, anxiety, depression, inner child healing, cultural identity, trauma, and life transitions.
Whatever it is that brings you to therapy, I stand by the commitment, “I’m here with you.” I believe that each of our stories are equally sacred as they are unique and see therapy as an opportunity to cultivate curiosity for ourselves and to let go of self-judgement. Taking a Psychodynamic approach, I aim to help my clients unravel, experience, and understand themselves more deeply, through building awareness, flexibility, and the capacity to make change. Humor, authenticity, and the willingness to experiment is foundational to my approach.

I’m a holistic, solutions-focused therapist who works with people navigating addiction, codependency, attachment patterns, and the often quiet work of building confidence.
In our work, I focus on what’s practical and meaningful — nervous system support, honest reflection, somatic work when needed, and zero pressure to be anything but where you are. I won’t give you bandaids. You get a real person, and a space that feels grounded, curious, and calm.

If you find yourself feeling like the ground beneath your feet is about to crumble, you are not alone. I can offer a safe and nonjudgmental space where we can work together to find your balance. I believe that meaningful therapy should be based on a collaboration between client and therapist with the intention of helping one discover their most authentic self through exploration of inner resources and innate wisdom. My practice involves moving away from behavioral and interpersonal patterns that hinder self-compassion.

Trauma and addiction have a way of narrowing a life until very little of it still feels like yours. Maybe you are carrying something that happened years ago and has never quite loosened it's grip. Maybe you are living with addiction yourself, or watching somebody you love disappear into it. Some people come to me after years of quietly holding everything together for everybody else. Others arrive in the middle of the worst season of their lives with no real idea what happens next. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I work with adults across New York, Connecticut, and Utah who are ready to stop carrying all of it alone.

Codependency Therapists
What therapy types help with codependency problems?
Both couples and family therapy and cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) can help with the relationship difficulties referred to as codependency. Such problems typically include inappropriate feelings of responsibility for a loved one’s destructive behavior, irrational patterns of thinking about such behavior, and family interaction patterns in which the needs of one troubled member override the needs of others in a household.

What happens in therapy for codependency?
Spouses and family members learn and practice how to interact and support each other in a healthy way without sacrificing their own needs or well-being. They learn the limits of their responsibility for their loved ones and correct faulty patterns of thinking and feeling that underlie codependent behavior. Individuals may be encouraged to nurture an array of social relationships and to cultivate their own talents and interests so that they develop a healthy sense of self outside the family.

How does therapy help a person or couple overcome codependency?
Therapy helps people establish healthy ways of being in a relationship. Spouses and family members learn how to nurture and support one another without sacrificing their own needs or allowing the needs of one person to dominate the dynamic. Individuals learn how to say no and set boundaries, and how to maintain their own identity and self-esteem. Therapy helps people understand that they are not responsible for the feelings and actions of others. It also helps individuals deal with the turbulence that can come from living with a person suffering from such conditions as substance abuse and mental illness.

What is the goal of therapy for codependency?
One goal of therapy for codependency is to alleviate feelings of responsibility for and correct irrational patterns of thinking about loved ones whose behavioral problems override the needs of others in a household. Therapy helps people establish healthy boundaries of behavior and speak up for their own needs in a relationship. In addition, people learn how to maintain a healthy relationship, one in which both parties give and receive equally and are able to retain their own identity.
