My approach is called "Assimilative Couple and
Family Therapy
" which focuses on two aspects: how the individual functions in relationships to himself and how he/she relates to others.
The journey of life is one filled with joy, happiness, sadness, disappointments, loss and renewal. I feel my goal as a psychologist is to enable a child, adolescent, young adult, and adult find the strength to review life's troubling issues and form new perceptions which enables different outlooks on problems. I feel the only problems in life are situations that can not be resolved. Many times the resolutions are not what we thought life would offer us, but that is what we have. Book written by Dr. Pitta: "Solving Modern
Family
Dilemmas: An Assimilative Therapy Approach".

Anxiety, perfectionism, difficulty trusting others, depression are limiting your ability to feel confident and content with your life, work,
family
and friends.
Are you feeling disconnected, struggling to feel like your place in life matters, connecting to friends in your community or at work feels hopeless? not feeling understood by your
family
and friends leaves you feeling anxious and makes getting all the tasks in your life an impossible dream. If you are a parent, worry about how your kids are doing, socially or academically overwhelms you, differing opinions with your partner only make things worse. At times, work can also feel overwhelming and it may be difficult to set boundaries and say no to people.

If you are ADHD, Autistic, Gifted, or Empath/Clair, the interplay between who you are and the world around you can cause anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, sadness, guilt, or self-doubt. If you are in a relationship, any of the above can trigger issues, cause misunderstandings, and interfere with closeness. Therapy can help you with your trauma, symptoms, relationships, and clarify the dynamic role between you and your surroundings.

Family Therapy
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.
How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.
How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.
Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
