If you are looking to heal, grow, and progress towards a heightened sense of self I can help. Through talking as well as the use of music and sound we will find a path together that works for you. I am a trained musician who has performed worldwide in many different settings including being a performer with the Blue Man Group for over 12 years. My path in music led me to music therapy and then psychotherapy, the therapeutic treatment of the individual as a whole being. I also provide Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) as a treatment option where appropriate. Please inquire with any questions you may have.

I integrate psychoanalytic, gestalt, and somatic psychotherapy, with focus on what is happening in real time.
People often come to my practice feeling stuck in patterns of pressure, overthinking, or exhaustion — working hard but not finding the sense of ease or satisfaction they’re looking for. This may show up in perfectionism, burnout, addiction, ADHD, or difficulties in relationships, identity, or life transitions. Rather than seeing these as problems to fix, we look at how these patterns formed, how they are maintained, and how they continue to shape your experience, often outside of awareness.

As children, we are often not taught how to understand and master our own minds, bodies, and spirits. Now is the time to learn. As a trauma-informed, person-centered therapist and licensed mental health counselor, I integrate my non-judgmental view on how life experiences have impacted your cognitive and emotional well-being with evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies. Together, we work toward leaning how to promote self-awareness, empowerment, choice, autonomy, and the ability to self-regulate without guilt, shame, or blame.

Psychoanalytic Therapists
Does psychoanalytic therapy work?
Psychoanalytic therapy derives from the work of Sigmund Freud. In this type of therapy, discovering buried thoughts and emotions from the unconscious will help a person work through their difficulties and negative behaviors. Research shows that psychoanalytic therapy can be highly effective, with patients reporting improvement in mood, quality of life, and overall well-being.
How long are people typically in psychoanalytic therapy?
Traditional psychoanalysis is in-depth and is conducted in five sessions every week. Today, modern psychoanalytic therapy is less intense and normally incorporates as few as one or two sessions a week. In some cases, positive change can occur quickly. However, if the condition, difficulty, or behavior is deep-seated, improvement may require many months or years of therapy.
Is psychoanalytic therapy suitable for young people?
Children and adolescents can benefit from this type of therapy. Many kids and teens are often unable to form and communicate their thoughts and emotions. Psychoanalytic therapy uses specific techniques such as dream analysis, symbolism, and free association or word association; all of which can be useful tools for less-communicative young people. Through this therapy, a patient will hopefully make connections between what they feel inside and how the world works outside.
Can psychoanalytic therapy be done online?
Modern-day psychoanalytic therapy is very different from traditional psychoanalysis. While an individual can sit face-to-face with the psychoanalyst for multiple sessions a week, they do not have to. Today, psychoanalytic therapy can be effectively conducted online or by phone. The key is that the individual confronts what is repressed and avoided, and this can be done whether in person or over online video.
